Name Description

Maan Lababidi

Chf. Maan Lababidi is Chairman of the Board at Starcomms Plc. He also sits as Executive Chairman of the Fou’ad Lababidi Foundation which oversees the administration of the Lababidi Islamic Academy, a post Primary educational institution. He has received several honors, including the Baba Oja of Lagos (1984), the Baba Adini of Ijebu land (2001) and Federal Honors as an Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON 2002). He has established several businesses including Flour Mills, Luxury Hotels, Fisheries and Construction Companies. Chf. Lababidi obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in 1965 and a Master of Science degree in 1968, both in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas, United States, where he graduated with Honors in both cases (chi Epsilon & Tau Beta Pi).

Outsola Oladokun

Mr. Outsola (Sola) Oladokun has served as Interim Chief Executive Officer, Finance Director and Director of Starcomms Plc since September 6, 2012. He joined Starcomms Plc in 2011 but served previously as Chief Risk and Control Officer in ZOOMmobile Nigeria with responsibility for Business Planning, Audit, Internal Control, Corporate governance and Revenue Assurance including mediation process, interconnection, fraud management, billing and all the systems related to these functions. Mr. Oladokun has over 24 years of experience from diverse business areas, including Telecommunications, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical industry, as well as Marketing and Supply Chain Management. He has also experience in Corporate Finance, Business Combination and Strategy and was Project Team Leader for GlaxoSmithKline West Africa business integration post merger of GlaxoWellcome and Smithkline Beecham. Mr. Oladokun obtained a degree in Administration, Fellowship in Accountancy profession and Advanced Management Practice of Lagos Business School.

Paul Edwards

Mr. Paul Edwards has served as Non-Executive Vice Chairman of the Board at Starcomms Plc since January 2005. Additionally, he serves as Executive Chairman of the Board of Chartwell Capital Group, a corporate advisory and investment house. He worked in South Africa, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore in the Information Technology, business information, television, telecommunications and media industries. In 1999, Mr. Edwards was appointed as Group Chief Executive at Johnnic Group in South Africa. He assumed direct control of MTN in 2001. Following this, he became Non-Executive Chairman at SN Communications Holdings. In 1983, he became Founder Member of the Spencer Stuart Management Advisory Services. He is Member of Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government's International Council and the University of Cape Town's Graduate School of Business Advisory Board. He is Chairman of the Remuneration Committee, of the Nomination and Corporate Governance Committee and Member of Audit and Risk Committee, as well as Chairman of the Tendering and Procurement Committee of the Company. Mr. Edwards received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Physics from the University of Cape Town in 1974. In 1982, he obtained a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Cape Town's Graduate School of Business (the University of Cape Town).

David Ordman

Mr. David Ordman serves as Chief Financial Officer at Starcomms Plc. He has over 18 years of work experience in various sectors. Prior to joining the Company, he worked as Finance Director within EMAAR, The Economic City in Saudi Arabia. Previously, he also worked as Chief Financial Officer in United Utilities Plc (Estonia and Bulgaria) and Millicom International Cellular, Pakistan. He trained with Price Waterhouse Coopers, and achieved Order of Merit from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales. Mr. Ordman received a Masters of Business Administration degree having attended a joint program at the London Business School, United Kingdom and the Columbia Business School, United States. He also obtained a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Birmingham.

Trino Guzman

Mr. Trino Guzman serves as Technical Director of Starcomms Plc. He is Technical Executive in the International Telecommunications industry, with 17 years of experience in Network Engineering Design, Planning & Optimization Projects and specialized as Technical Manager in diverse mobile operators in the Americas and Africa. Prior to joining the Company, he was Technical Manager responsible for network planning and optimization in Ericsson CEV. He has worked in diverse projects for mobile networks in the United States and Central and South America. He has been awarded with certifications in RF Engineering from WiMax Forum and LTE University and has been Member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) since 2010. Mr. Guzman completed postgraduate studies in Telecommunications and Business Organization, with a major degree in Electronic Engineering.

Omolara Ojo

Ms. Omolara Ojo has served as Head of Human Resources and Administration of Starcomms Plc since 2012. Ms. Ojo joined the Company in 2005 as Training Manager and rose within three months to the position of Human Resources Manager, a position she occupied until her present nomination in 2012. She has over 20 years of experience in Office Management, Training, Guality Assurance and Human Resources. She held various positions in her professional career from being Trainer, Training Manager, and Quality Assurance Manager in Rank Xerox (Nig) Ltd. Ms. Ojo holds a certificate in Secretarial Administration and a Masters of Business Administration degree in Human Resources.

Olufela Yusuf

Mr. Olufela (Fela) Yusuf serves as Head of Information Technology / Information System of Starcomms Plc. He has 11 years of work experience, four of which have been within the CDMA telecoms industry. Prior to joining the Company, he served as Consultant in charge of West African Portland Cement Plc and Ashaka Cement Plc where he was responsible for the management of the Microsoft Enterprise Infrastructure. Mr. Yusuf obtained a Higher National Diploma in Computer Science, and several other professional qualifications.

Olatunbosun Hambolu

Mr. Olatunbosun (Bosun) Hambolu serves as Head, Legal and Regulatory Affairs at Starcomms Plc. He has over 10 years of experience in legal practice starting with Abuka, Ajegbo, Nwaogu & Ilogu law firm where he served as Litigation Counsel. He moved to the banking sector where he gained additional experience in the legal, and the credit risk management units. He joined Starcomms Plc in 2005 as Legal Support Administrator. He is Member of the International Bar Association (IBA). Mr. Hambolu holds an LLB (Honos) degree in Civil Law from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in January 2001.

Babatunde Lawson

Mr. Babatunde (Tunde) Lawson has served as Head of Sales and Marketing of Starcomms Plc since 2012. He joined the Company in September 2011 as Regional General Manager North, the function he held until he assumed his present post in 2012. He has over 25 years' professional experience; 11 of which have been spent within the telecommunications industry. He was a pioneer Regional Sales Manager with Econet Wireless and rose through the ranks to become Executive Head of Region with Vmobile Nigeria and later Regional General Manager, North West Celtel Nigeria.

Adebola Gbalajobi

Mr. Adebola Gbalajobi serves as Head of Internal Audit of Starcomms Plc. He has more than 20 years' work experience starting with National Centre for Economy Management and Administration-(NCEMA) IBADAN where he served as an accountant. He has also worked with the Association of Housing Corporations of Nigeria and Foursquare Pensions amongst other entities. Mr. Gbalajobi joined the Company in 2005 as Internal Audit Associate. He is Member of Institute of Fraud Examiners (the United States). He holds a Diploma in Management from the Moscow Cooperative Institute, Moscow, Russia. In addition, he obtained a Masters of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Calabar.

Odein Ajumogobia

Mr. Odein Ajumogobia has served as Director of Starcomms Plc since December 28, 2012. He is Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and founding Partner of Ajumogobia & Okeke, a Nigeria-based business law firm. He served previously in various capacities as Nigeria's Minister for Foreign Affairs (between 2010 and 2011), Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (from 2008 to 2010), Minister of State for Energy (from 2007 until 2008) and Attorney General for Rivers State (from 2003 to 2007). Mr. Ajumogobia is Fellow of Chartered Institute of Arbitrator (London) FCI Arb. He got admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 1979. He obtained an LLB (Honors) degree from the University of Lagos in 1978 and received a Master of Legal Letters degree from the Harvard Law School, Cambridge (the Harvard School of Law) in 1988.

Mahendra Bakhda

Mr. Mahendra Bakhda has served as Director of Starcomms Plc since December 28, 2012. Between the years 1983 and 1988, Mr. Bakhda served as Finance Director for Baxhor Trading Limited and Lonbridge Shipping Limited, a company whose area of interests included Property, Trade Finance, and Forwarding & Shipping Agents. He left Baxhor Trading Limited and Lonbridge Shipping Limited in 1988 and took up Group Treasury functions for Greenoak Holdings Group of Companies, and has held unto this capacity till date. He has been involved in Corporate and Commercial Finance transactions with specific hands on responsibility for projects in negotiations, conduct of due diligence, raising project finance and maintaining management control. The range of Projects included property companies in the United Kingdom, Portugal, Moscow, Cyprus and Mauritius as well as Oil Production in Russia, Georgia and Estonia amongst others. Mr. Bakhda qualified as Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in 1977.

Tajudeen Dantata

Alhaji Tajudeen Aminu Dantata has been Non-Executive Director at Starcomms Plc since June 30, 2009. He is Member of the Nomination and Corporate Governance Committee and of the Remuneration Committee of the Company. He began his professional career in business in 1988 as Group Director in Dantata Organisations Limited, a position he held until he was appointed Group Managing Director in 1994. He is also on the Board of Nigeria Sugar Products Limited and Bebeji Oil & Allied Products Limited, Express Petroleum & Gas Company Limited, Dantata Property Development & Management Co. Ltd., Kundila Finance Company Limited, Caunting Limited and Namco Nigeria Limited. He represents the Dantata Group's interest in the following companies: Electricity meter Company of Nigeria, NAL Bank Plc, Cement Company for Northern Nigeria (CCNN), Mentholatum Nigeria Ltd, Raleigh Industries Limited and Air Nigeria. For several years, he was Chairman of Kano State Housing Corporation and Kano State Tourism Board. He was educated at West London University, Westminster, England and he's a graduate of Business Studies, and has an Associate of Business Executive Certificate.

Omar Lababidi

Mr. Omar Lababidi has been Non-Executive Director of Starcomms Plc since 2007. He is Member of the Tendering and Procurement Committee and has been Member of the Nomination and Corporate Governance Committee of the Company since 2009. He is a seasoned wireless industry specialist. He worked with Tradigrain Incorporated before joining Starcomms as the Director of Marketing where he was responsible for the marketing transformation at Starcomms Plc. Mr. Lababidi obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in International Relations from the Georgetown University in 1998 and a Masters of Business Administration degree from the Columbia Business School in 2007.

Chris Ogbechie

Dr. Chris Ike Ogbechie has served as Non-Executive Director of Starcomms Plc since June 14, 2011. He is Member of the Audit and Risk Committee and of the Tender and Procurement Committee of the Company. He has experience in Marketing and Strategy derived from his work as Head of Marketing/Sales at Nestle Nigeria, Xerox and from his consulting work with Nigerian firms over the years. While in Nestle, he had wide international exposure in Malaysia, Singapore and Switzerland. He has been involved with several start-ups and he is on the Boards of several companies, private and public. He teaches Strategy and Corporate Governance. He has several publications in Financial Services Marketing, Strategic Planning, Corporate Social Responsibility and Corporate Governance. Dr. Ogbechie obtained a first – class honors degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manchester and an MBA degree from the Manchester Business School.
