Name Description

Daniel Starks

Mr. Daniel J. Starks is Chairman of the Board, President, Chief Executive Officer of St. Jude Medical Inc. Mr. Starks has over 27 years of medical device industry experience. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Starks was President and Chief Executive Officer of Daig Corporation, a manufacturer of specialty cardiovascular devices that was acquired by St. Jude Medical in 1996. In 1998, Mr. Starks was named Chief Executive Officer and President of the Company’s Cardiac Rhythm Management business and in 2001 was named President and Chief Operating Officer of the Company. Mr. Starks has been a member of the St. Jude Medical Board of Directors since the Company acquired Daig Corporation in 1996.

Donald Zurbay

Mr. Donald J. Zurbay is Chief Financial Officer, Vice President - Finance of St. Jude Medical Inc. Mr. Zurbay joined St. Jude Medical in 2003 as Director of Finance and was later named Corporate Controller in August 2004. Before joining St. Jude Medical, Mr. Zurbay held positions at Deloitte and Touche LLP, The Valspar Corporation and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. Mr. Zurbay is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants. He holds a B.S. in business with an emphasis in accounting from the University of Minnesota.

Joel Becker

Mr. Joel D. Becker is President - Americas Division of St. Jude Medical Inc. Mr. Becker joined St. Jude Medical in 1993 as Senior Associate in Corporate Development. In 1999, he left the Company to join Myocor, Inc., a venture-backed heart failure company, as Senior Vice President. Mr. Becker returned to St. Jude Medical in 2002 where he held numerous leadership positions in both the Cardiovascular and Atrial Fibrillation divisions. He began serving as Vice President Program Management & Business Development for the Atrial Fibrillation Division from 2004 to February 2011. He then served as Senior Vice President, Marketing for the U.S. Division from February 2011 to October 2011. Mr. Becker was promoted in October 2011 to President, U.S. Division, which was expanded in January 2014 to become the Americas Division.

Eric Fain

Dr. Eric S. Fain, M.D., is Group President - St. Jude Medical of St. Jude Medical Inc. He became President of the St. Jude Medical Implantable Electronic Systems Division in August 2012. Previously, he was President of the Cardiac Rhythm Management Division (CRMD). Dr. Fain originally joined Ventritex, Inc. in June 1987 as Manager, Clinical Research and was Vice President, Systems Development when St. Jude Medical acquired the company in 1997. He went on to become Senior Vice President, Clinical/Regulatory Affairs for CRMD in June 1998. He was later promoted to Executive Vice President, Development and Clinical/Regulatory Affairs for CRMD in 2005 and then President, CRMD in 2007. Dr. Fain received his M.D. from Stanford University School of Medicine and holds a Sc.B. degree in applied math/biology from Brown University.

Denis Gestin

Mr. Denis M. Gestin is President - International of St. Jude Medical Inc. Mr. Gestin joined St. Jude Medical in 1997 as manager of cardiac rhythm management and catheter product sales in France. He was named Managing Director of St. Jude Medical France in 1999 and was promoted to Vice President, Northern Europe & Africa in 2002. He was named President of SJM Europe, Middle East, Africa and Canada in August 2004.

Michael Rousseau

Mr. Michael T. Rousseau is Chief Operating Officer of St. Jude Medical Inc. Mr. Rousseau joined St. Jude Medical in 1999 as Senior Vice President, Cardiac Rhythm Management Global Marketing. In August 1999, Cardiac Rhythm Management Marketing and Sales were combined under his leadership. In January 2001, he was named President, U.S. Cardiac Rhythm Management Sales, and in July 2001, he was named President, U.S. Division, a position Mr. Rousseau held until January 2008, when he was promoted to Group President, initially responsible for the Company’s four product divisions. In November 2009, Mr. Rousseau’s Group President responsibilities were realigned, with the Company’s Cardiac Rhythm Management Division and U.S. Division reporting directly to him. Mr. Rousseau served as President, U.S. Division from November 2009 to October 2011. Mr. Rousseau continues to serve as Group President over the Cardiac Rhythm Management and Neuromodulation product divisions as well as the U.S. division.

John Heinmiller

Mr. John C. Heinmiller is Executive Vice President of St. Jude Medical Inc. He has responsibility for global support and service functions including Finance, Human Resources, Legal, Information Technology, Corporate Relations and Business Development. Mr. Heinmiller was St. Jude Medical’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) from September 1998 through August 2012. Mr. Heinmiller joined St. Jude Medical in May 1998 as Vice President, Corporate Business Development. From 1995 to 1997, Mr. Heinmiller was Vice President of Finance and Administration of Daig Corporation. Mr. Heinmiller was a member of the Board of Directors of Daig Corporation from 1993 until St. Jude Medical acquired Daig in 1996. From 1991 to 1995, Mr. Heinmiller was Vice President, Finance and CFO of Lifecore Biomedical, Inc., a medical and surgical products company. From 1986 to 1991, Mr. Heinmiller was an Audit Partner at Grant Thornton, LLP. From 1975 to 1986, Mr. Heinmiller was employed by Grant Thornton, where he served a variety of clients including several companies in the medical device field. Mr. Heinmiller holds a B.S. in business administration from The Ohio State University and is a licensed CPA.

Mark Murphy

Mr. Mark W. Murphy is Vice President - Information Technology, Chief Information Officer of St. Jude Medical Inc., since April 2013. Prior to that from September 2009, he was Senior Director of Enterprise Applications where he had responsibility for business applications including the global SAP program. Mr. Murphy joined the company in 2003 as a Director of Corporate IT. Before joining St. Jude Medical, Mr. Murphy worked in IT management positions in retail, financial services and medical technology, including the cardiac rhythm management business unit of Boston Scientific (formerly Guidant). Mr. Murphy holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from Purdue University and an M.B.A. from Indiana University.

Lisa Andrade

Ms. Lisa M. Andrade is Chief Marketing Officer, Vice President of the company. Ms. Andrade joined St. Jude Medical in 1997 as a part of our acquisition of Ventritex, Inc. She held multiple leadership positions in engineering for the Company's cardiac rhythm management business. She left the Company in 1999 to pursue other interests and rejoined us in 2006. In March 2006, Ms. Andrade was named Senior Director, Systems Engineering, Cardiac Rhythm Management and in March 2009, she became the Divisional Director, Clinical and Systems Engineering. In March 2010, Ms. Andrade was promoted to Vice President, Connectivity for the U.S. Division and in February 2011 she was named Vice President, Education and Market Development, U.S. Division. Later, in October 2011, she was named the Senior Vice President, Marketing, U.S. Division. In July 2013, Ms. Andrade was promoted to Senior Vice President, Global Strategy and Market Development, and in January 2014, she was named the Chief Marketing Officer for St. Jude Medical.

Scott Thome

Mr. Scott P. Thome is Vice President, Global Operations and Supply Chain of the company. Mr. Thome joined St. Jude Medical in 2000 as part of our acquisition of Vascular Science, Inc. Beginning in October 2000, Mr. Thome served as Director of Program Management and Process Development, Cardiac Surgery until October 2004 when he was promoted to Senior Director Program Management, Cardiology. In June 2005, Mr. Thome was named Vice President Operations, Cardiovascular and was subsequently promoted to Senior Vice President Operations, Cardiovascular in February 2010. In August 2012, his scope expanded to the Cardiovascular and Ablation Technologies Division (combining our legacy Cardiovascular and Atrial Fibrillation divisions). In January 2014, Mr. Thome was promoted to Vice President Global Operations and Supply Chain.

Jason Zellers

Mr. Jason A. Zellers is Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of St. Jude Medical Inc. He joined St. Jude Medical in 2006 as Vice President and General Counsel for the International Division. In October 2011, he was appointed St. Jude Medical’s Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. Before joining St. Jude Medical, he was a partner at Armstrong Teasdale LLP and Schiff Hardin LLP and served as Senior Counsel at GE Healthcare.

Jeffery Dallager

Mr. Jeffery A. Dallager is Vice President and Corporate Controller of the company. Mr. Dallager joined St. Jude Medical in October 2004 as Manager, Financial Reporting and was named Director, Financial Reporting in August 2005. In December 2006, Mr. Dallager was appointed to Vice President, Finance, Information Technology and Supply Chain for our Cardiovascular Division. In September 2009, Mr. Dallager was appointed to Senior Vice President, Finance for our U.S. Division and in January 2012, Mr. Dallager was named Senior Vice President, Finance and Supply Chain for our International Division. In January 2014, Mr. Dallager was promoted to Senior Vice President and Corporate Controller.

Angela Craig

Ms. Angela D. Craig is Vice President - Global Human Resources of St. Jude Medical Inc. In her present role, she has responsibility for the company’s human resources function worldwide. Ms. Craig joined St. Jude Medical in May 2005 and was named Vice President, Corporate Relations and Human Resources in August 2010. Prior to joining St. Jude Medical, Ms. Craig was an executive for public and investor relations and corporate affairs at Smith and Nephew plc, a medical devices company headquartered in London, England. Ms. Craig began her career as a reporter for The Commercial Appeal newspaper, based in Memphis, Tennessee. She holds a B.A. in journalism from the University of Memphis.

Mark Carlson

Dr. Mark D. Carlson, M.D., is Vice President - Global Clinical Affairs, Chief Medical Officer of St. Jude Medical Inc. St. Jude Medical employee since November 2006. Mark D. Carlson, M.D. was named Vice President Global Clinical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer for St. Jude Medical in September 2013. Prior to that he served as Chief Medical Officer and Sr. Vice President Research and Clinical Affairs for the company’s Cardiac Rhythm Management Division and later the expanded Implantable Electronics Systems Division. Dr. Carlson received his M.D. from the University of Kansas, and a master’s degree in public policy from Duke University. He trained in internal medicine at University Hospitals of Cleveland and Case Western Reserve University, and in cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard University. While at Case, Dr. Carlson served in several roles including vice chair of the department of medicine and associate vice president for government relations. He has served in a variety of industry and government advisory roles and his research on arrhythmias and neural control has resulted in over 150 publications.

Rachel Ellingson

Ms. Rachel H. Ellingson is Vice President - Corporate Relations of St. Jude Medical Inc. In this role, Ms. Ellingson is responsible for investor relations, public relations, internal communications, government affairs, and corporate giving. She also serves as President of the St. Jude Medical Foundation. Previously, Ms. Ellingson served as Vice President, Corporate Communications and Investor Relations. She joined St. Jude Medical in 2010 through the acquisition of AGA Medical, where she served as Vice President of Business Development and Investor Relations. Prior to that, she spent 15 years in investment banking, most recently as a managing director with the medical device team at Bank of America. Ms. Ellingson received her undergraduate degree from the University of Rhode Island and her M.B.A in Finance from the University of Connecticut.

Jeff Fecho

Mr. Jeff A. Fecho is Vice President - Global Quality of St. Jude Medical Inc. Mr. Fecho joined St. Jude Medical in 2005 as Director of Quality for the Cardiovascular Division, served as Vice President of Quality for the Cardiovascular Division from 2008 to 2012. Prior to joining St. Jude Medical, he worked in research and development and quality operations for Boston Scientific, Inc.

John Brown

Mr. John W. Brown is Independent Presiding Director of St. Jude Medical Inc., since 2006. Mr. Brown has a unique background and skills that qualify him not only to serve on the Board, but also to act as Presiding Director. Mr. Brown served as the Chief Executive Officer of Stryker Corporation from 1977 to 2004 and as Chairman from 1980 until his retirement in 2009. During his tenure as head of Stryker, Mr. Brown turned a small medical instruments company with annual sales of $17 million and 400 employees into a global orthopedics medical device manufacturer that at the time of his retirement had annual sales of approximately $6.7 billion and over 18,000 employees. Between 1979 and 2007, Stryker increased annual per share earnings by at least 20 percent every year but two.

Richard Devenuti

Mr. Richard R. Devenuti is Independent Director of St. Jude Medical Inc. Mr. Devenuti is currently the President of EMC Corporation’s Information Intelligence Group (“IIG Division”), where he oversees all aspects of the IIG Division’s operations, including worldwide sales and services, channel strategy, product development, marketing, strategic business and financial initiatives, technical support and the Total Customer Experience program. Prior to this role, Mr. Devenuti served as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the CMA Division of EMC Corporation. Prior to joining EMC, Mr. Devenuti held a variety of senior positions at Microsoft Corporation. As a result of his leadership roles with Microsoft and EMC, Mr. Devenuti has general business experience and, in particular, experience with high growth companies in a high growth industry.

Stuart Essig

Mr. Stuart M. Essig is Independent Director of St. Jude Medical Inc., since 1999. Mr. Essig is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Integra LifeSciences Holdings Corporation, a manufacturer of medical devices and implants, a position he has held since January 2012. Prior to such role, Mr. Essig served as Integra’s Chief Executive Officer from December 1997 until January 2012 and its President from December 1997 until November 2010. In addition, he has served as a director since he joined Integra in December 1997. Prior to joining Integra, Mr. Essig supervised the medical technology practice at Goldman, Sachs & Co. as a managing director. Mr. Essig has also served on the Board of Directors of the Advanced Medical Technology Association, a trade association that represents the medical device industry.

Barbara Hill

Ms. Barbara B. Hill is Independent Director of St. Jude Medical Inc., since December 2007. Ms. Hill has an accomplished record with experience in the managed healthcare industry. Ms. Hill is currently an Operating Partner of Moelis Capital Partners, a private equity firm, where she focuses on healthcare-related investments and providing strategic and operating support for Moelis’ healthcare portfolio companies. She previously served as Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of ValueOptions, Inc., a managed behavioral health company from March 2006 to September 2010. Previously, Ms. Hill served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Woodhaven Health Services, an institutional pharmacy company, and President and a member of the Board of Directors of Express Scripts, a Fortune 100 pharmacy benefits management company.

Michael Rocca

Mr. Michael A. Rocca is Independent Director of St. Jude Medical Inc., since March 2004. Mr. Rocca was selected to serve on the Board because of the global financial experience he attained through various senior financial and leadership positions at multinational public companies. He served as Chief Financial Officer at Mallinckrodt, Inc., a $2.7 billion manufacturer of specialty medical technology products, from 1994 until his retirement in 2000. Prior to joining Mallinckrodt, from 1966 to 1994, Mr. Rocca worked at Honeywell, Inc., where he served in a variety of finance roles, including Vice President of Finance for Honeywell Europe in Brussels, Belgium and Vice President and Corporate Treasurer. Given Mr. Rocca’s management and financial experience, including serving as the current Chairman of the Audit Committee of Hyatt Hotels Corporation and having served as the Chairman of the Audit Committee of Lawson Software, Inc., he is uniquely qualified to serve as Chairman of the Company’s Audit Committee.

Stefan Widensohler

Mr. Stefan K. Widensohler has been appointed as Independent Director of St. Jude Medical, Inc., effective July 19, 2013. Mr. Widensohler has been Proprietor, CEO and President of KRAUTH Medical Group since 1992. Mr. Widensohler previously served as a Director of St. Jude Medical from 2001 to 2010. His areas of experience include global sales and marketing of health care products and services, reimbursement, public policy and e-commerce. With over 30 years of health care industry experience, Mr. Widensohler has been an active investor and board member of various medical technology companies. Mr. Widensohler is a Director of MyoPowers Medical Technologies and LDR Holding Corp., and has also been Deputy Chairman of BVMed, the German medical technology association, since 2002. Mr. Widensohler is a graduate of the Private Academy of Economics in Bad Harzburg, Germany.

Wendy Yarno

Ms. Wendy L. Yarno is Independent Director of St. Jude Medical Inc. Ms. Yarno has a 27 year history of demonstrated leadership in global operations, marketing and human resources in the pharmaceutical industry. She is currently an independent consultant in the life sciences industry. From September 2010 through February 2012, Ms. Yarno was the Chief Marketing Officer of HemoShear LLC, a biotechnology research company and developer of human cell-based surrogate systems for discovery and assessment of new drug compounds. Prior to this role, she served as Chief Marketing Officer of Merck & Co., Inc., a pharmaceutical company. She also has held a series of other executive positions at Merck, including General Manager of U.S. Human Health, Executive Vice President of Worldwide Human Health Marketing and Senior Vice President of Human Resources. Additionally, Ms. Yarno served as the vice president of the Women’s Health Care Franchise at Johnson & Johnson, the world’s healthcare company.
