Daniel Starks |
Mr. Daniel J. Starks is Chairman of the Board, President, Chief Executive Officer of St. Jude Medical Inc. Mr. Starks has over 27 years of medical device industry experience. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Starks was President and Chief Executive Officer of Daig Corporation, a manufacturer of specialty cardiovascular devices that was acquired by St. Jude Medical in 1996. In 1998, Mr. Starks was named Chief Executive Officer and President of the Company’s Cardiac Rhythm Management business and in 2001 was named President and Chief Operating Officer of the Company. Mr. Starks has been a member of the St. Jude Medical Board of Directors since the Company acquired Daig Corporation in 1996. |

Mr. Donald J. Zurbay is Chief Financial Officer, Vice President - Finance of St. Jude Medical Inc. Mr. Zurbay joined St. Jude Medical in 2003 as Director of Finance and was later named Corporate Controller in August 2004. Dr. Fain originally joined Ventritex, Inc. in June 1987 as Manager, Clinical Research and was Vice President, Systems Development when St. Jude Medical acquired the company in 1997. He went on to become Senior Vice President, Clinical/Regulatory Affairs for CRMD in June 1998. He was later promoted to Executive Vice President, Development and Clinical/Regulatory Affairs for CRMD in 2005 and then President, CRMD in 2007. Dr. Fain received his M.D. from Stanford University School of Medicine and holds a Sc.B. degree in applied math/biology from Brown University. |

Mr. Michael T. Rousseau is Acting Chief Marketing Officer; Group President of St. Jude Medical Inc. Mr. Rousseau joined St. Jude Medical in 1999 as Senior Vice President, Cardiac Rhythm Management Global Marketing. In August 1999, Cardiac Rhythm Management Marketing and Sales were combined under his leadership. In January 2001, he was named President, U.S. Cardiac Rhythm Management Sales, and in July 2001, he was named President, U.S. Division, a position Mr. Rousseau held until January 2008, when he was promoted to Group President, initially responsible for the Company’s four product divisions. In November 2009, Mr. Rousseau’s Group President responsibilities were realigned, with the Company’s Cardiac Rhythm Management Division and U.S. Division reporting directly to him. Mr. Rousseau served as President, U.S. Division from November 2009 to October 2011. Mr. Rousseau continues to serve as Group President over the Cardiac Rhythm Management and Neuromodulation product divisions as well as the U.S. division. |

During his tenure as head of Stryker, Mr. Brown turned a small medical instruments company with annual sales of $17 million and 400 employees into a global orthopedics medical device manufacturer that at the time of his retirement had annual sales of approximately $6.7 billion and over 18,000 employees. Mr. Michael A. Rocca is Independent Director of St. Jude Medical Inc., since March 2004. Mr. Rocca was selected to serve on the Board because of the global financial experience he attained through various senior financial and leadership positions at multinational public companies. He served as Chief Financial Officer at Mallinckrodt, Inc., a $2.7 billion manufacturer of specialty medical technology products, from 1994 until his retirement in 2000. Ms. Wendy L. Yarno is Independent Director of St. Jude Medical Inc. Ms. Yarno has a 27 year history of demonstrated leadership in global operations, marketing and human resources in the pharmaceutical industry. From September 2010 through February 2012, Ms. Yarno was the Chief Marketing Officer of HemoShear LLC, a biotechnology research company and developer of human cell-based surrogate systems for discovery and assessment of new drug compounds.
