Biographies

Name Description

Mark Carnegie

Mr. Mark Howard Carnegie serves as Chairman of the Board and Non Executive Director of Strike Energy Ltd since September 11, 2013. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Unversity of Oxford and a BSc (Hons) from University of Melbourne. Mark has more than 30 years’ experience as an entrepreneur, investor and corporate adviser in New York, London and Sydney. He was a principal of Carnegie, Wylie & Company before the acquisition of that business by Lazard Limited and was previously the CEO of Lazard Australia Private Equity Pty Ltd (formerly LCW Private Equity Pty Ltd), Lazard's Australian private equity business. He established M.H. Carnegie & Co. Pty Ltd in 2010, a venture capital and private equity firm. He is a Director of Macquarie Radio Network Ltd, Chandler Macleod Group Limited and a number of private companies.

C. Thompson

Mr. C. Thompson serves as Chief Operating Officer since 1 July 2014.

David Baker

Mr. David Baker serves Managing Director, Executive Director of Strike Energy Ltd. He was originally trained as a banking and finance lawyer with a Australian legal firm in Sydney and Singapore before establishing a career as an investment banker with experience across structured finance, utility financing, project finance and mergers and acquisitions. David was an Executive Director of Gryphon Partners, a boutique corporate advisory house focused on the resources industry and subsequently a senior executive in the resources team at Standard Chartered Bank, after the acquisition of Gryphon by SCB in 2011. He now conducts his own corporate advisory business and, in that capacity, will provide consulting services to Strike Energy Limited. He holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of Sydney. He serves as the Chair of an independent private school in Sydney on a voluntary basis.

Matthew Montano

Simon Ashton

Mr. Simon M. Ashton is Non-Executive Independent Director of the company since October 31, 2011. Mr. Ashton joined the board in 1997 and was a co-founder of Strike Energy Limited. He has over 35 years’ experience in the Australian and international petroleum and resource industries. Mr. Ashton resigned as Managing Director September 30, 2011. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from University of Adelaide in 1973, a Master of Science in Petroleum Geology from University of London in 1980, and a Master of Business Administration from University of Melbourne in 1993.

Brendan Ostwald

Mr. Brendan Ostwald is the Non-Executive Independent Director of the Company. He is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ostwald Bros., a diversified, market-leading construction and mining services company employing over 1,200 people nationally. Brendan has over 20 years’ experience in the management of large-scale infrastructure developments with a particular focus on Australian coal and coal seam gas projects and associated regional infrastructure development.

Jody Rowe

Ms. Jody Rowe is Non-Executive Independent Director of the company since June 30, 2014. Jody has over 20 years’ experience in the oil and gas sector, having held a number of senior positions with QGC, QGCLNG, Santos and Rio Tinto. Jody is a contracts and procurement specialist and advises clients on strategies to realise value from emerging and developing resource projects.
