| Ferguson, John | Mr. John T. Ferguson serves as Independent Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Suncor Energy Inc. He is founder and Chairman of the board of Princeton Developments Ltd. and Princeton Ventures Ltd. Mr. Ferguson is also a Director of Fountain Tire Ltd., the Royal Bank of Canada and Strategy Summit Ltd. In addition, he is a Director of the C.D. Howe Institute, the Alberta Bone and Joint Institute, an advisory member of the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research and Chancellor Emeritus and Chairman Emeritus of the University of Alberta. | Hopwood, Terrence | Mr. Terrence J. Hopwood was appointed Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Suncor Energy Inc. in January 2002. Terry took on the role of General Counsel and Secretary to Suncor's board of directors in 1995. Prior to holding these positions, he was Suncor's vice president of finance and administration for Exploration and Production. Since joining Suncor in 1988 as senior counsel, Terry has held a series of senior positions in the legal, administration and acquisition areas of the former Exploration and Production business. Mr. D’Alessandro was President and Chief Executive Officer of Manulife Financial Corporation from 1994 to 2009. Prior to his appointment as Chief Executive Officer of Manulife, he held a number of executive positions with financial institutions, an international engineering firm and a public practice accounting firm. For his business accomplishments, Mr. D’Alessandro was inducted into the Insurance Hall of Fame in 2008. He was recognized as Canada’s Most Respected CEO in 2004 and CEO of the Year in 2002. Mr. D’Alessandro is an Officer of the Order of Canada and has been appointed as a Commendatore of the Order of the Star of Italy. In 2009, he received the Woodrow Wilson Award for Corporate Citizenship and in 2005 was granted the Horatio Alger Award for community leadership.
