Name Description
Chen, John Mr. John S. Chen has been Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, and President of Sybase, Inc. since November 1998 and Director since 1997. From February through November 1998, he served as co-Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Chen joined Sybase in August 1997 as Chief Operating Officer and served in that capacity until February 1998. From March 1995 to July 1997, Mr. Chen was President of the Open Enterprise Computing Division of Siemens Nixdorf, a computer and electronics company, and Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Siemens Pyramid, a subsidiary of Siemens Nixdorf. He is also a current director of The Walt Disney Company, an entertainment and media company and Wells Fargo & Co., a national bank.
Ross, Jeffrey Mr. Jeffrey G. Ross is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Sybase, Inc. since November 2007. From August 2004 to November 2007 he served as Corporate Controller. From July 2000 to August 2004 he served as Group Director of Tax and Accounting. Mr. Ross has held various other positions since joining Sybase in 1997. Before joining Sybase, Mr. Ross held several positions with Price Waterhouse, including senior manager in international tax.

Ho, Billy Mr. Billy Ho is Senior Vice President Product and Technology Operations of Sybase, Inc. since January 2007. From April 2003 to December 2006 he served as Senior Vice President and General Sales Manager OEM Sales. Beginning in October 2001 Mr. Ho served as Senior Vice President and General Manager, e-Business Division. Prior to that he held the position of Senior Vice President of Product Development and Marketing, e-Business Division from July 2001 to October 2001. Before that he held the position of Vice President of Product Development, Enterprise Solutions Division from October 1998 to July 2001. Mr. Ho joined Sybase in 1997 as Director of Engineering.

Krause, L. William Mr. L. William Krause has been Director of Sybase, Inc. since 1995. Mr. Krause has been President of LWK Ventures, a private investment firm since 1991. He also served as a director of Template Software, Inc., an enterprise application integration and tools development company, from January 1998 through December 1999.
Alberding, Richard Mr. Richard C. Alberding has been Director of Sybase, Inc. since 1993. Mr. Alberding served as an Executive Vice President of Hewlett-Packard Company, a computer and electronics company, before retiring from that company in 1991. He had served in various management positions with HP beginning in 1958. Sum, Jack Mr. Jack E. Sum has been Director of Sybase, Inc. since 2004. Mr. Sum served as a Partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), an accounting firm, from 1980 until his retirement in July 2003.
