Name Description

Paul Wilkinson

 Mr. Paul N. Wilkinson has been appointed as Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Thorntons Plc., effective February 1, 2013. He Joined Thorntons in August 2006. He holds a portfolio of executive, non-executive and advisory roles in the food, consumer and retail sectors as well as the public sector. Previous appointments include Chairman of Rank Hovis McDougall and prior to that he held management roles at Unilever and Grand Metropolitan. He was previously an independent Director of Aryzta AG, a international food group based in Zurich. Other appointments include Chairman of Fengrain and Non-Executive Director of Fuerst Day Lawson. He also chairs the National Skills Academy. He is Chairman of the Remuneration Committee and the Senior Independent Director.

Jonathan Hart

 Mr. Jonathan D. Hart is Chief Executive, Executive Director of Thorntons PLC., since January 4, 2011. He was previously Managing Director of Caffè Nero for five years prior to which he held senior positions at Abbey, Woolworths and ITM Communications and spent more than a decade with Dixons Group plc, where, latterly, he was responsible for the Group’s high street brands (including Dixons, The Link and Dixons Tax-Free) as Group Managing Director and as Group Managing Director of PC World International.

Michael Killick

 Mr. Michael Killick serves as Finance Director, Executive Director of Thorntons Plc. Michael joined Thorntons in January 2012 and appointed to the Board in February 2012. A qualified accountant with experience in the retail sector. Most recently Interim Finance Director to a private equity healthcare business and prior to that previous appointments included eleven years at Peacocks, latterly as Chief Financial Officer until January 2011, Bennetts GB (insurance), Going Places Retail Leisure and Burton Group plc. Non-Executive Director of Wales Finance Limited, a Welsh Government-owned venture capital investment vehicle.

Barry Bloomer

 Mr. Barry Bloomer is Managing Director - Sales & Operations, Executive Director of Thorntons Plc. He was appointed to the Board in July 2006. He previously spent ten years at Black & Decker, latterly as European Operations Director and, prior to that, eight years in various positions including Manufacturing and Quality Director for Philips Components Limited.

He was formerly Managing Director at Arsenal Holdings (2000-2009), Group Chief Executive at Storehouse Group (Bhs /Mothercare) (1993-1999) and has held senior executive roles at Carlton Communications, Ladbroke Group and Grand Metropolitan. His previous Non-Executive appointments include Glenmorangie and Eurotunnel.

Martin George

 Mr. Martin George has been appointed as Independent Non-Executive Director of Thorntons PLC., effective November 1, 2012. Martin is currently Group Development Director at Bupa and has previously held a number of senior positions at British Airways latterly as Commercial Director. He has experience in consumer brand development as well as commercial and general management.

Diana Houghton

 Ms. Diana J. Houghton is Non-Executive Independent Director of Thorntons Plc. She joined Thorntons in December 2008. A corporate development and strategy specialist with broad experience of the consumer goods, retail and leisure retail sectors and also possesses corporate finance. She spent six years as the Corporate Development Director of Allied Domecq before working as a consultant to a number of companies, investment banks and private equity houses. Other appointments include a senior advisory role with the National Audit Office. She is Chair of the Audit Committee.
