Name Description
Karamehmet, Mehmet Mr. Mehmet Emin Karamehmet was appointed to his current position as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri on September 30, 1993. He is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cukurova Holding, BMC, Cukurova Havacilik, Cukurova Sanayi and Banque de Commerce et de Placements S.A., as well as Member of the Board of Directors of Cukurova Insaat Makinalari A.S. He previously served as Chairman of Noksel. Mr. Karamehmet attended Dover College in England.
Ciliv, Sureyya Mr. Sureyya Ciliv has been General Manager of Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri A.S. since January 9, 2007. He co-founded Novasoft Systems Inc. in Boston, the United States, and served as Vice General Manager, General Manager, as well as Chairman of the Board between 1987 and 1997. From 1997 to 2000, he was Country General Manager for Microsoft Turkey based in Istanbul. Mr. Ciliv, who has international experience in general management, marketing and sales, joined the Company from Microsoft headquarters in Redmond, WA, the United States, where he held executive positions in the Microsoft Worldwide Sales, Marketing and Services Group between 2000 and 2007. He was the Head of Field Readiness Strategy and Systems Division of Microsoft, before he joined Turkcell. Mr. Ciliv received his MBA degree from Harvard University in 1983, and his BSc degree in Industrial & Operations Engineering and Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan, in 1981, where he graduated with honors.
Okandan, Serkan Mr. Serkan Okandan has been performing as Vice General Manager responsible for Finance of Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri A.S. since January 1, 2006. He began his professional career at PricewaterhouseCoopers as Senior Auditor in 1992. He later worked for DHL and Frito Lay as Financial Controller. Yener, Ekrem Mr. Ekrem Yener is performing as Vice General Manager of Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri A.S. responsible for Corporate Customers Management. Gemicioglu, Orhan Mr. Orhan Gemicioglu has been Legal Counsel of Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri A.S. since its establishment. He has taken part in several projects, such as the preparation of the Company's first revenue sharing agreement, the transformation of this document into a license agreement and preparation of the revenue sharing agreement in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, as well as lawsuits for the Company. He has also provided legal counseling services to several domestic and international companies, and served on the Board of Directors of several companies. He has 38 years of experience as a lawyer. He is a founding member of a private university. Mr. Gemicioglu is a graduate of the Faculty of Law at Istanbul Universitesi.
Duran, Ergun Mr. Ergun Duran joined Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri A.S. in 2004, and has been performing as Head of Regulatory Affairs of the Company since December 6, 2004. Mr. Duran started his career at Endam Muhendislik ve Danismanlik, and later held senior managerial positions at Ericsson and Cukurova Holding. Eloholma, Aimo Mr. Aimo Eloholma has been performing as Member of the Board of Directors of Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri A.S. since August 22, 2007. Williams, Colin Mr. Colin J. Williams has been Member of the Board of Directors of Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri A.S. since May 22, 2006. He serves as Voting Member and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Turkcell's Board of Directors. He is also Supervisory Director and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Treofan; Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Audit and Remuneration Committees of Clondalkin, and Chairman of Kloeckner Pentaplast. He previously served as Non-Executive Director and Voting Member of the Audit and Remuneration Committees of Yule Catto. From January 2001 to December 2004, Mr. Williams served as President of SCA, North America. He was a long-term Board Member and Vice Chairman of ICCA, the International Corrugated Packaging Institution, the European Federation of Packaging and the Federation of Paper Producers (CEPI). Mr. Williams is the founding President of Propak Europe, and was Board Member of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce between 2002 and 2004. Kivisaari, Tero Asst. Prof. Tero Erkki Kivisaari has been performing as Board Member of Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri A.S. since May 14, 2007. Prior to that, he held the position of Vice President of Sonera Group's International Operations. Asst. Prof. Kivisaari holds an MBA degree in Finance.
Khudyakov, Alexey Mr. Alexey Khudyakov has been Non-Executive Member of the Board of Directors of Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri A.S. since May 22, 2006. He is also Observer Member of the Audit Committee of the Company's Board of Directors. He joined Altimo in 2004, and is currently performing as its Vice President. Before joining Altimo, he worked at Alpha Bank as Vice President, managing Alfa Group's investments in Golden Telecom and Kyivstar. From 1998 to 2002, Mr. Khudyakov worked in the Moscow office of McKinsey & Co. He received his MBA degree from INSEAD, and holds a Masters degree in Applied Mathematics and Physics from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.
