Smith, Bruce Mr. Bruce A. Smith is Chairman of the Board, President, Chief Executive Officer of Tesoro Corporation. Mr. Smith has been Chairman of the Board of Directors, President and Chief Executive Officer of Tesoro since June 1996. He has been a director of Tesoro since July 1995. Mr. Smith was President and Chief Executive Officer of Tesoro from September 1995 to June 1996 and Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Tesoro from July 1995 to September 1995.
Wright, Gregory Mr. Gregory A. Wright is Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Tesoro Corporation since November 2008. Prior to that, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer beginning in June 2007 and as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer beginning in December 2003.

Chase, Rodney Mr. Rodney F. Chase is Director of Tesoro Corporation. Mr. Chase spent his entire 39-year career with BP plc. He held positions within the upstream and downstream segments of the industry in Australia, Europe and North America. Mr. Bookout spent most of his 29-year career with McKinsey & Company working in petroleum refining, marketing, exploration and development, and the natural gas and electric utility industries. During his career, he held numerous leadership roles. Before relocating to Texas in 1995, he spent six years as Managing Partner of McKinsey’s Los Angeles Office and four years in London where he led McKinsey’s European Energy Practice. He also served as Managing Partner of the Texas Office, as co-leader of the Firm’s North American Energy Practice, and as a member of McKinsey’s Shareholders’ Committee. Mr. Bookout was a Director of McKinsey & Company in their Houston office until October 2006. Nokes, James Mr. James W. Nokes is Director of Tesoro Corporation. Mr. Nokes spent his 36-year career with ConocoPhillips, and retired in 2006 as Executive Vice President of worldwide Refining, Marketing, Supply and Transportation. His background primarily includes refining, marketing, crude and products trading, commercial natural gas operations and transportation. He also had assignments in exploration and production, as well as strategic planning. In 1991, he was appointed Vice President of U.S. Marketing and Product Trading. Beginning in 1994, he was Vice President of U.S. Downstream Business. For eight years beginning in 1999, he was Executive Vice President of Refining, Marketing, Supply and Transportation for the company’s global business. Mr. Nokes was a member of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development and sat on the Board of Directors of the American Petroleum Institute, as well as the American Petroleum Institute Transportation, Marketing and Downstream Committee. Mr. Nokes is also a Director of Post Oak Bank, N.A., a Houston-based commercial bank, and Albemarle Corporation, a publicly-held supplier of specialty chemicals.
