Serge Belamant |
Dr. Serge C. P. Belamant is an Executive Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer of Net 1 Ueps Technologies Inc. Dr. Belamant is one of the founders of the company and has been chief executive officer since October 2000 and the chairman of the board since February 2003. He was chief executive officer of Aplitec. Dr. Belamant serves on the boards of a number of other companies that perform welfare distribution services and the provision of microfinance to customers. Dr. Belamant spent ten years working as a computer scientist for Control Data Corporation where he won a number of international awards. Later, he was responsible for the design, development, implementation and operation of the Saswitch ATM network in South Africa that rates today as the third ATM switching system in the world. Dr. Belamant has patented a number of inventions, including the original funds transfer system patent, ranging from biometrics to gaming-related inventions. Dr. Belamant has 30 years of experience in the fields of operations research, security, biometrics, artificial intelligence and online and offline transaction processing systems. Dr. Belamant holds a PhD in Information Technology and Management. |
Herman Kotze |
Mr. Herman Gideon Kotze is Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer, Secretary, Executive Director of Net 1 Ueps Technologies Inc. since June 2004. From January 2000 until June 2004, he served on the board of Aplitec as group financial director. Mr. Kotzé joined Aplitec in November 1998 as a strategic financial analyst. Mr. Kotzé is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants. |

Mr. Phil-Hyun Oh is President and Chief executive officer of KSNET, Inc., subsidiary of Net 1 Ueps Technologies Inc. Mr. Nitin Soma is Senior Vice President - Information Technology of Net 1 Ueps Technologies Inc., since June 2004. Mr. Soma joined Aplitec in 1997. He specializes in transaction switching and interbank settlements. Mr. Soma represented Nedcor Bank in assisting with the technical specifications for the South African Interbank Standards. He is responsible for the ATM settlement process to balance ATMs with the host as well as balance the host with different card users. Mr. Soma designed the Stratus Back-End System for Aplitec, and is responsible for the Nedbank Settlement System for the Point of Sales Devices. Mr. Soma has over 15 years of experience in the development and design of smart card payment systems. |
Brian Mosehla |
Mr. Brian Kgomotso Mosehla is Director of Net 1 Ueps Technologies Inc. Mr. Mosehla currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Mosomo Investment Holdings (Pty) Ltd, a well-known black empowerment investment company with a proven track record in transformation, and with experience in mining, financial services and mass banking concepts. He is also a non-employee director of Coal of Africa Limited, a resource company listed on the JSE. Mr. Mosehla was an executive director of Mvelaphanda Resources and a non-employee director of Unitrans Ltd. Mr. Mosehla is a qualified South African chartered accountant and completed his articles with KPMG in Johannesburg in 1995. |

Mr. Alasdair Jonathan Kemsley Pein is an Independent Director of Net 1 Ueps Technologies Inc. since February 2005. Mr. Pein is currently CEO of Ascension Partners Limited, a Cayman-based provider of investment services to high net worth clients. Mr. Pein is a director of Mundane International Limited, a Guernsey-based financial investment fund. Mr. Pein serves as a director of Ecolutia Services AG, a global provider of water, wastewater and environmental treatment solutions. Between 1994 and March 2009, Mr. Pein served as the CEO of the Oppenheimer private equity business (excluding Rest of Africa). During this period of time Mr. Pein held directorships of a number of private companies. In addition, Mr. Pein was a director of Arsenal Digital Solutions, a privately-held US company that provides on-demand data protection services, from 2001 to 2008 Mr. Pein is a qualified South African chartered accountant and completed his articles with Deloitte in Johannesburg in 1987. |

Mr. Christopher Stefan Seabrooke is an Independent Director of Net 1 Ueps Technologies Inc., since January 2005. Mr. Seabrooke is chief executive officer and a director of Sabvest Limited, an investment holding company which is listed on the JSE. Mr. Seabrooke serves as a non-employee director of the following JSE listed companies: Brait SE, Chrometco Limited, Datatec Limited, Massmart Holdings Limited, Metrofile Holdings Limited and Transaction Capital Limited. Mr. Seabrooke is a member of The Institute of Directors in South Africa. Formerly, he was the chairman of the South African State Theater and the deputy chairman of each of the National Arts Council and the Board of Business and Arts South Africa. Mr. Seabrooke has degrees in Economics and Accounting from the University of Natal and an MBA from the University of Witwatersrand. |
