Name Description

Nu'uman Danbatta

 Alhaji Nu'uman Danbatta is Chairman of Unity Bank Plc. He worked in the Kano State civil service and federal service for 30 years, including 10 years as Permanent Secretary at the federal service. He trained in Political Science and Public Administration. During his career he has served as Permanent Secretary, Mines & Power, at the Public Service Office and the Ministries of Transport and Education. He is a Member of the National Institute (mni) and a recipient of the National Honor of Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON). He has held a variety of other positions including Chairman of the Interim Board of Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology and Co-Chairman of the Infrastructure Policy Commission of the Nigerian Economic Summit.

Ado Wanka

 Dr. Haji Ado Yakubu Wanka is Chief Executive Officer, Managing Director and Directorat Unity Bank Plc. Pror to this he was Group Executive Director, Risk Management and Controls. He joined the Board in 2008. He began his banking career in 1988 with the Nigerian International Bank (Citibank Nigeria) as a Deputy Manager before moving to the then FSB International Bank Plc (1991-1997) where he became an Executive Director. He assumed duty as the MD/CEO of the then Gamji Bank Limited in 1997, moved to First Bank of Nigeria Plc in 1998 as an Executive Director where he spent eight years. He also served in various capacities in several organizations, among other as Executive Director, Finance and Administration and later on, Chairman of the Board of the Nigeria and Sao Tome joint Development Authority (an Agency which oversees the Commercial exploration of mineral resources in the Joint Development Zone covering the overlapping maritime boundary between Nigeria and Sao Tome & Principe). Dr. Haji Wanka is Chairman of Newdevco Investments and Securities Company Limted (a member of the Unity Bank Group). In addition to other professional bodies, he is a member of the Institute of Directors (IoD) and the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM). He holds a B.Sc in Chemical Engineering from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (1973 - 1977) and an MBA from the same institution (1982 - 1984). He is also an alumnus of the Harvard Business School and Switzerland’s Institute of Management Development, Lausanne. He is Member of the Company's Board Credit Committee and Member of Board Risk Management Committee.

 Mr. Ahmed Yusuf is Executive Director, Information Technology & Operations at Unity Bank Plc. He worked in the former Continental Merchant bank, FBN (Merchant Banking) Ltd, FSB International and Intercity Bank. He was involved in the consolidation of Unity Bank Plc.  Mr. Elisha Olanrewaju Fagbohun is Executive Director, Lagos and South West at Unity Bank Plc. He began his career with the former Habib Bank in 1985. He has also worked in BankPHB and Spring Bank Plc. He obtained a B.Sc in Psychology from the University of Lagos in 1984 and then an MBA (Banking & Finance).  Haji Rislanudeen Muhammed is Group Executive Director, North West at Unity Bank PLC since 2010. Prior to that, he was Executive Director - Retail and E-banking since April 20, 2009 until 2010. He has exposure in public service and in banking, where he has garnered experience in investment and commercial banking. He joined the banking industry in 1993, starting as an Assistant Manager with Centrepoint Bank Plc. He moved to Tropical Commercial Bank Limited (another legacy bank of Unity Bank Plc) in 1995 where he served for a decade before rising to become its Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer in 2005. He attended many noteworthy courses within and outside the country and is a member of a number of Professional Associations like the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), Nigerian Institute of Management Consultants and the Nigerian Economic Society where he is a life Member. He is a Director on the Boards of Unity Bank Bureau de Change Limited and UnityCapital & Trust Limited (subsidiary companies of UnityBank Plc). He is an alumnus of three Business Schools - Harvard, London and Lagos Business Schools. He holds a Bachelors degree in Economics from the Bayero University, Kano, 1985; and an M.SC degree in the same discipline from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, 1990. He joined the Board of Unity Bank Plc in April 20, 2009. He is Member of the Company's Board Credit Committee.

Aisha Abraham

 Ms. Aisha Azumi Abraham has been Group Company Secretary at Unity Bank PLC since 2006. She has experience in legal practice spanning solicitorship, legal education and company secretarial practice. She was a Senior Partner in Baiyee, Abubakar & Co where she was involved in the setting up of Small Scale Industries and Small Scale Businesses. She was a Graduate Assistant in the Faculty of Law, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria from 1985 to 1986. Ms. Abraham was also in the Legal and Company Secretariat Department of NAL Merchant Bank Plc between 1986 and 1988, Credit & Marketing Department of Ivory Merchant Bank 1990, Company Secretary/Legal Adviser of Shelter Savings & Loans Limited 1992-1994. Ms. Abraham was also one of Directors of Urban Development Bank of Nigeria in 1992 and was Company Secretary/Legal Adviser of First Interstate Bank Plc 2002 - 2006, one of the nine banks that made up Unity Bank Plc. She was the Project Secretary and the Secretary to the Steering Committee and Committee of Directors of the Banks in-consolidation that became Unity Bank Plc. She is currently the Group Company Secretary of Unity Bank Plc and a Director in Unity Registrars, Limited (a subsidiary company of the Bank). She obtained an LL.B degree from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, 1982 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1983. Ms. Abraham has been Secretary of the Board of Unity Bank Plc from inception in 2006. She is Secretary of the Risk Management Committee of the Company.
