Name Description

D. Davis

Mr. D. Scott Davis serves as Non-Executive Chairman of United Parcel Service Inc. He is no longer Chief Executive Officer of the Company effective September 1, 2014. Davis, a 29-year veteran of the company, joined UPS in 1986 when UPS acquired the technology company II Morrow, where he was CEO. The Oregon native served in positions of increasing responsibility in finance and accounting before assuming the role of CFO and joining the UPS Management Committee in 2001. In 2006, he was named vice chairman and was elected to the UPS Board of Directors that same year. He became CEO and Chairman of the Board on January 1, 2008. Under Davis' leadership, UPS has made significant improvements in its logistics network as the company has expanded its reach and capabilities through Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Davis has presided over rapid growth in international operations and supply chain and freight. He also oversaw strategic initiatives to expand the company's U.S. and European air hubs, the opening of the Intra-Asian air hub in Shenzhen, and transformation of the company's U.S. small package organization, the largest operating unit of the company. Further, under Davis the company has implemented a policy of returning significant value to shareholders through a generous dividend policy and share repurchase program. In addition to his long-standing service to UPS, Davis has contributed his time and expertise to policy-making organizations, most notably serving on the President's Export Council and previously as chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.

Kurt Kuehn

Mr. Kurt P. Kuehn serves as Chief Financial Officer, Senior Vice President of United Parcel Service Inc. He served as Treasurer (2008 – 2010), Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Marketing (2004 – 2007).

David Abney

Mr. David P. Abney has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer, Director of United Parcel Service Inc., effective September 1, 2014. He becomes the 11th chief executive officer in the 107-year history of the company. He began his UPS career in 1974 as a part-time package loader. Over the course of his 40-year career, he held various operational positions leading to his current position. As chief operating officer, Abney had responsibility for UPS logistics, sustainability, and engineering, leading the company's significant investment in alternative fuel fleets, and implementing programs to expand the company's total freight volume. In that role, he directed the UPS transportation network serving more than 200 countries and territories. Prior to becoming chief operating officer, Abney served as president of UPS International where he led the expansion of the company's global logistics capabilities. In that role, Abney oversaw several global acquisitions to expand service capacity and local market presence. His international experience includes leading the logistics and freight divisions in Canada and Latin America as well as heading global freight forwarding and customs brokerage. His other significant assignments over the course of his long-tenured career include serving as president of SonicAir, a same-day delivery service that signaled UPS's move into the service parts logistics sector, and leading the team that completed one of the company's largest acquisitions - the Fritz Companies. A native of Greenwood, he earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from Delta State University. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Delta State University Alumni Foundation. He is also a Trustee of The UPS Foundation, UPS's charitable arm, as well as a member of the Board of Directors of Johnson Controls, Inc., Airlines for America, and the Coalition of Service Industries, which represents service businesses and seeks to lower barriers to world trade.

David Barnes

Mr. David A. Barnes serves as Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer of United Parcel Service Inc. He was Corporate Information Services Portfolio Coordinator (2001 – 2004). He obtained his bachelor’s degree in business administration at the University of Missouri while working as a part-time supervisor for UPS.

Alan Gershenhorn

Mr. Alan Gershenhorn is Senior Vice President - Worldwide Sales, Marketing and Strategy of United Parcel Service Inc. Alan Gershenhorn directs global sales, customer relationship management, segment marketing, product development, electronic commerce, revenue management, marketing research and corporate strategy. Under his direction, UPS is focused on deepening customer relationships through an expanded offering of supply chain and technology-based services and solutions. Gershenhorn is also a member of the UPS Management Committee, which is responsible for the day-to-day management of the company. Prior to his current position, Gershenhorn served as president of UPS International where he was responsible for the UPS international package, freight forwarding, customs brokerage and logistics businesses. Gershenhorn also has served in several other leadership positions. These include the UPS Corporate Strategy Group, where he was responsible for the company's retail strategy and operations worldwide and the integration of Mail Boxes Etc. (now primarily recognized as The UPS Store); the president of UPS Canada; the president of UPS Supply Chain Solutions (SCS) Global Transportation and Shared Services; and the president of UPS SCS operations in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa. He received a degree in finance from the University of Houston.

Gutmann Kate

Ms. Kate Gutmann is Senior Vice President - Worldwide Sales and Solutions of the Company. Gutmann, a native of Troy, N.Y., is a 24-year UPS veteran. She joined the company in 1989 as a marketing intern while attending Siena College and over the course of her distinguished career has served in various sales and marketing roles, including vice president of marketing for the Europe, Middle East and Africa Region. Gutmann was promoted to her current position as president of worldwide sales in 2011. She is active in the community and serves on the board of directors for the Women Presidents' Organization.

John McDevitt

Mr. John J. McDevitt serves as Senior Vice President - Human Resources and Labor Relations of United Parcel Service Inc. He served as Senior Vice President, Global Transportation Services and Labor Relations (2005 – 2011).

James Barber

Mr. James Jay Barber is Senior Vice President; President, UPS International of United Parcel Service Inc. As president of UPS International since May 2013, Jim Barber oversees the company's business operations in more than 220 countries and territories outside of the U.S. Barber is also a member of the UPS Management Committee, which is responsible for the day-to-day management of the company. Barber previously served as President of UPS Europe, with responsibility for UPS operations in more than 120 countries and territories in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Under Jim's leadership, UPS executed a growth strategy that included expanding its capabilities and enhancing the customer experience. As part of this growth strategy, Jim led key acquisitions such as Pieffe Group, an Italy-based pharmaceutical logistics company, and Lynx Express, one of the U.K.'s independent parcel carriers. As part of UPS's growing focus on e-commerce, Jim led the acquisition of Kiala S.A., a company with a network of package collection points in France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Spain. In 2002, Jim was appointed controller of the Southeast (U.S.) Region and then was named vice president of finance and accounting for the Europe Region, based out of Brussels, Belgium. After a special assignment as a package division manager in Germany, Jim was named as managing director of UPS U.K. & Ireland in 2006. Jim returned to Brussels in 2010 as chief operating officer for UPS Europe, Middle East and Africa. Jim holds a degree in finance from Auburn University.

Mitch Nichols

Mr. Mitch Nichols is Senior Vice President - Transportation and Engineering of the Company. Nichols is widely recognized for his engineering and aviation expertise and his broad community and industry leadership. Currently, he serves on the Transportation Council for the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. As president of UPS Airlines, one of the largest in the world, Nichols also oversaw UPS Worldport, one of the most technologically advanced package sorting facilities and the company's all-points international hub located in Louisville, Ky. A Castro Valley, California native, Nichols joined UPS in 1987 through an acquisition. He will relocate to UPS headquarters in Atlanta.

Michael Eskew

Mr. Michael L. Eskew is Director of United Parcel Service, Inc. Mike served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer from 2002 until 2008. He was appointed Executive Vice President in 1999 and Vice Chairman in 2000. In 1994, Mike was named UPS's Corporate Vice President for Industrial Engineering. Two years later he became Group Vice President for Engineering. Mike joined UPS in 1972. Mike also serves as a director of 3M Company, International Business Machines and Eli Lilly and Company.

F. Duane Ackerman

Mr. F. Duane Ackerman is Independent Director of United Parcel Service Inc. Duane previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer of BellSouth Corporation, a telecommunications company, from 1997 to 2006. He served as Chairman of the board of directors from 1998 to 2006 and as Vice Chairman and Chief Operating Officer from 1995 to 1997. He is also a director at Allstate Corporation and The Home Depot, Inc.

Rodney Adkins

Mr. Rodney C. Adkins is s Independent Director of United Parcel Service Inc. Rod has served as IBM's Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy since 2013. Rod was previously Senior Vice President, Systems and Technology Group, a position he held since 2009, and senior vice president of STG development and manufacturing, a position he held since 2007. Stuart Eizenstat

Mr. Stuart E. Eizenstat is Independent Director of United Parcel Service Inc. Stuart is Senior Counsel of Covington & Burling LLP in Washington, D.C., and heads the law firm's international practice. He served as Deputy Secretary of the United States Department of the Treasury from July 1999 to January 2001. He was Under Secretary of State for Economic, Business and Agricultural Affairs from 1997 to 1999. Stuart served as Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade from 1996 to 1997 and was Ambassador to the European Union from 1993 to 1996. From 1977 to 1981 he was Chief Domestic Policy Advisor in the White House to President Carter. He is a trustee of Black Rock Funds, a member of the board of directors of Alcatel-Lucent and Globe Specialty Metals, and serves on the International Advisory Board of GML Ltd. and Office of Cherifien de Phosphates. He has received eight honorary doctorate degrees.

William Johnson

Mr. William R. Johnson is Independent Director of United Parcel Service Inc. Bill served as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of the H.J. Heinz Company, a global packaged foods manufacturer, from 2000 until his retirement in 2013. He became President and Chief Operating Officer of Heinz in 1996, and assumed the position of President and Chief Executive Officer in 1998. Bill also serves on the board of directors of Emerson Electric Company and the Education Management Company.

Candace Kendle

Dr. Candace Kendle is Independent Director of United Parcel Service Inc. Candace is the co-founder and was, until 2011, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Kendle International Inc., a global clinical research organization. Prior to founding Kendle International, she earned a doctorate in pharmacy from the University of Cincinnati and has held senior faculty positions at the University of North Carolina Schools of Pharmacy and Medicine; the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine; the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science; and the University of Cincinnati College of Pharmacy. Candace serves on the board of directors of Emerson Electric Company.

Ann Livermore

Ms. Ann M. Livermore is Independent Director of United Parcel Service Inc. Ann serves as a director of the Hewlett Packard Company, after retiring as an executive of the company in 2011. In her last operational role at HP, Ann was Executive Vice President of the HP Enterprise Business. Ann joined HP in 1982 and has held a variety of management positions in marketing, sales, research and development, and business management before being elected a corporate vice president in 1995.

Rudolph Markham

Mr. Rudy H. P. Markham is Independent Director of United Parcel Service Inc. Rudy was the Financial Director of Unilever from 2000 through 2007. He joined Unilever in 1968 and from 1989 through 1998 was based in East Asia where he held a series of increasing responsibilities, ultimately serving as Business Group President North East Asia based in Singapore. Rudy joined the board of Unilever as Strategy and Technology Director, became a member of its Executive Committee in 1998 and was subsequently appointed as Financial Director. In 2007, he retired from the board of Unilever and as Chief Financial Officer. Rudy is a non-executive director of Legal & General Group PLC, Standard Chartered PLC and AstraZeneca PLC. He is chairman of the supervisory board of Corbion, N.V., formerly CSM, N.V.

Clark Randt

Ambassador Clark T. Randt, Jr., is Independent Director of United Parcel Service, Inc. Sandy is a former U.S. ambassador to the People's Republic of China, where he served from 2001 until 2009. From 1994 through 2002, he was a partner resident in the Hong Kong office of Shearman & Sterling, a major international law firm, where he headed the firm's China practice. From 1982 through 1984, Sandy served as First Secretary and Commercial Attaché at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing. In 1974, he was the China representative of the National Council for United States-China Trade, and from 1968 to 1972, he served in the U.S. Air Force Security Service. Currently, Sandy is president of Randt & Co. LLC, a company that advises firms with interests in China. Sandy also serves on the boards of Valmont Industries, Inc. and Qualcomm Incorporated.

Carol Tome

Ms. Carol B. Tome is Independent Director of United Parcel Service Inc. Carol has been Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of The Home Depot, Inc., one of the world's largest retailers, since 2001. In 2007 Carol assumed the additional role of Executive Vice President — Corporate Services. Prior to that, she had been Senior Vice President — Finance and Accounting/Treasurer since 2000. From 1995 until 2000, she served as Vice President and Treasurer.

Kevin Warsh

Mr. Kevin M. Warsh is Independent Director of United Parcel Service, Inc. Kevin was a member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve from 2006 until 2011. He currently serves as a distinguished visiting fellow at Stanford University's Hoover Institution and a lecturer at its Graduate School of Business. In addition, Kevin provides strategic consulting and advisory services to a range of businesses. From 2002 until 2006 Kevin served at the White House as President George W. Bush's special assistant for economic policy and as executive secretary of the National Economic Council. Kevin was previously employed by Morgan Stanley & Co. in New York, becoming vice president and executive director of the company's Mergers and Acquisitions Department.
