R. Andrew Eckert

Mr. R. Andrew Eckert is Independent Chairman of the Board of the Company. He served as Chief Executive Officer, Valence Health, a healthcare solutions Company, Chief Executive Officer, TriZetto Corporation, a healthcare IT solutions firm (March 2014—November 2014).Chief Executive Officer, CRC Health Corporation, a provider of substance abuse treatment and adolescent youth services (January 2011—March 2014).He is Managing Director, Symphony Technology Group, a private equity firm (October 2009—January 2011),President and Chief Executive Officer, Eclipsys Corporation, a former publicly traded healthcare information management software provider (October 2005—May 2009),Chief Executive Officer, SumTotal Systems, Inc., an enterprise software provider. Dow Wilson

Mr. Dow R. Wilson is President, Chief Executive Officer of the Company. He served as Corporate Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer from October 2011 through September 2012 and as Corporate Executive Vice President and President, Oncology Systems from August 2005 through September 2011. Mr. Wilson served as Corporate Vice President and President, Oncology Systems from January 2005 to August 2005. Prior to joining the Company in January 2005, Mr. Wilson was Chief Executive Officer of the Healthcare-Information Technologies business in General Electric (a diversified technology and services company), from 2003 to 2005. During the previous 18 years, Mr. Wilson held various management positions within General Electric. Mr. Wilson holds a B.A. degree in English from Brigham Young University and an M.B.A. degree from Dartmouth’s Amos Tuck School of Business. Mr. Wilson served on the board of directors of Saba Software, Inc. (an e-learning software provider) from August 2006 to March 2015 and as the lead independent director of that board from August 2011 to March 2013. Mr. Wilson was appointed to our Board of Directors effective September 29, 2012.

Timothy Guertin

Mr. Timothy E. Guertin is Vice Chairman of the Board of the Company. He served as president and chief executive officer of the company from 2006 to 2012. Mr. Guertin joined Varian in 1976 and since then has served in major management positions over his 30-plus years with the company. Prior to being appointed CEO in February, 2006, he served as Varian's president and chief operating officer. Mr. Guertin was named a corporate vice president in 1992 and executive vice president in 1999. At one time he was general manager and then president of Varian's Oncology Systems business, the company's largest business and the world's leading supplier of medical devices and software for treating cancer and other medical conditions with radiotherapy, radiosurgery, and brachytherapy. Prior to becoming head of the Oncology Systems business, he held a variety of positions, including general manager of customer support. He holds a BS in electrical engineering and computer sciences from the University of California at Berkeley. Mr. Guertin is the current chairman of the Board of Directors of the AeA (American Electronics Association), a nationwide trade association that represents all segments of the technology industry, and he is a member of that organization's Silicon Valley/Northern California Council. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Diagnostic Imaging Section of NEMA (National Electrical Manufacturers Association), and he serves as chairman of NEMA's Therapy Systems Division. In addition, he sits on the corporate councils of the American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO), and the Canadian Association of Radiation Oncologists (CARO), professional organizations of radiation oncology clinicians.

Elisha Finney

Ms. Elisha W. Finney is Chief Financial Officer, Executive Vice President - Finance of the Company. She served as Corporate Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from January 2005 through January 2012 and as Corporate Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from April 1999 to January 2005. Ms. Finney has held various other positions, including Treasurer, during her 28 years with the Company. Ms. Finney holds a B.B.A. degree in risk management and insurance from the University of Georgia and an M.B.A. degree from Golden Gate University in San Francisco. Ms. Finney served on the board of Thoratec (a supplier of medical devices for circulatory support and vascular graft applications) from July 2007 to May 2013. She also served on the board of Altera Corporation (a supplier of custom logic solutions) from August 2011 to December 2015 when it was acquired by Intel. She joined the board of ICU Medical (a supplier of medical devices relating to IV therapy) in January 2016. In October 2016, Ms. Finney announced her intention to retire in fiscal year 2017.

Kolleen Kennedy

Ms. Kolleen T. Kennedy is Executive Vice President and President - Oncology Systems of the Company. She was Senior Vice President and President, Oncology Systems from October 2011 to September 2014. From January 2006 through September 2011, Ms. Kennedy served as Vice President, Oncology Systems Customer Service and Support. Prior to that, Ms. Kennedy was the Company’s Vice President, Oncology Systems Marketing, Product Management and Engineering from September 2004 to January 2006. Prior to becoming Vice President, Ms. Kennedy served in various marketing management positions since she joined the Company in 1997. Ms. Kennedy holds a B.S. degree in Radiation Oncology and a B.S. degree in Psychology, both from Wayne State University, as well as an M.S. in Medical Physics from the University of Colorado.

John Kuo

Mr. John W. Kuo is Senior Vice President, General Counsel, Corporate Secretary of the Company. He served as Corporate Vice President and General Counsel from July 2005 through January 2012 and as Corporate Secretary since February 2005. Mr. Kuo joined the Company as Senior Corporate Counsel in March 2003 and became Associate General Counsel in March 2004. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Kuo was General Counsel and Secretary at BroadVision, Inc. (an e-commerce software provider) and held senior legal positions at 3Com Corporation (a networking equipment provider). Mr. Kuo has previously been with the law firms of Gray Cary Ware & Freidenrich (now DLA Piper) and Fulbright & Jaworski. Mr. Kuo holds a B.A. degree from Cornell University and a J.D. degree from Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California at Berkeley.

Rafael Torres

Mr. Rafael Torres is Senior Vice President - Business Development and Strategy of Varian Medical Systems, Inc. In this role, he leads the company's strategic plans for growth through acquisitions, investments, and partnerships that complement our current portfolio of businesses. Prior to joining Varian, Torres served as global head of healthcare for GE Ventures and GE Equity. He was a founding member of GE Ventures and a member of its senior leadership committee. Torres led the healthcare investment team and represented GE on portfolio company boards, including CardioDx, InSightec, LipoScience, Navinet and ParadigmHealth. Torres was also a judge of the healthymagination Cancer Innovation Challenge and a member of the StartupHealth transformers advisory panel. He has been featured in healthcare publications and conferences including The Gray Sheet, MedDevice Daily, SXSW, Slush Digital Health and Biomed Israel. He held previous roles at The Boston Consulting Group and Citibank N.A. Torres holds an MBA degree from Harvard Business School and a B.A. in economics from the Universidad del Pacifico in Lima , Peru.

Jose Baselga

Dr. Jose Baselga, M.D., Ph.D. serves as Director of the Company. Dr. Baselga, has served as Physician-in-Chief at MSK and Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College since 2013. Prior to MSK, Dr. Baselga was the Chief of the Division of Hematology / Oncology, Associate Director of the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center and Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical Schoolfrom 2010-2012. He was also the Chairman of Medical Oncology and Founding Director of the Vall d'Hebron Institute of Oncology inBarcelona, Spainfrom 1996-2010. Dr. Baselga received his medical degree from Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona in Barcelona, Spainand completed residencies at Vall d'Hebron University Hospital and State University of New York Health Science Centerat Brooklyn. Dr. Baselga is the most recent Past President of the American Association of Cancer Research and an elected member of the National Academy of Medicine. Dr. Baselga is a member of the Board of Directors of Infinity Pharmaceuticals.

Jean-Luc Butel

Mr. Jean-Luc Butel serves as Director of the Company. Mr. Butel, has served as Senior Adviser to McKinsey Healthcare Practice since 2015. From 2012 to 2015, Butel served as Corporate Vice President and President of International atBaxter.
