Name Description

Steven Bates

 Mr. Steven Andrew Ralph Bates has been appointed as Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of VinaCapital Vietnam Opportunity Fund Limited effective May 1, 2013. He is a veteran investor in emerging markets, spending most of his career with the Fleming Group and its successor JP Morgan Asset Management, where he led the emerging markets team. Over the past 10 years Mr. Bates has continued to manage investments across the emerging world working for Zephyr Management and has added a number of non-executive roles in investment companies.

Martin Glynn

 Mr. Martin John Gardner Glynn is Director of Vinacapital Vietnam Opportunity Fund Ltd. He has 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. He has two degrees from Canadian universities, worked first in the export finance industry and then for HSBC for 24 years until his retirement in 2006. He commenced his career at HSBC in Canada, ending up as President and CEO of HSBC Bank Canada. He spent from 2003 to 2006 in the United States as President and CEO of HSBC Bank USA, N.A. Mr. Glynn has board experience within the HSBC group of companies and externally, taking on leadership roles in the profit and not-forprofit sectors.

Michael Gray

 Mr. Michael Grenville Gray, CPA, is Director of Vinacapital Vietnam Opportunity Fund Ltd. He has over 30 years professional experience, including 10 years in the shipping industry before training as a chartered accountant with Coopers & Lybrand in the UK. Mr. Gray was a partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers Singapore and before that was the Territorial Senior Partner for PricewaterhouseCoopers Indochina (Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos). He is a board member of several companies in Singapore, including Avitech Electronics Ltd, JEL Corporation Holdings Ltd, Grand Banks Ltd, and Raffles Marina Holdings Ltd.

Don Lam

 Mr. Don Lam is Director of Vinacapital Vietnam Opportunity Fund Ltd. He is a founding partner of VinaCapital Group, with over 15 years experience in Vietnam. He has overseen the Group’s growth from manager of a single USD10 million fund in 2003 into a full-featured investment firm managing numerous listed and unlisted funds, and offering a complete range of corporate finance and real estate advisory services. Before founding VinaCapital, Mr. Lam was a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers (Vietnam), where he led the Corporate Finance and Management Consulting practices throughout the Indochina region. Mr. Lam has also held management positions at Deutsche Bank and Coopers & Lybrand in Vietnam and Canada. He has a degree in Commerce and Political Science from the University of Toronto, and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Canada. He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Securities Licence in Vietnam.

Martin Adams

 Mr. Martin Michael Adams has been appointed as Independent Non-Executive Director of VinaCapital Vietnam Opportunity Fund Limited effective February 5, 2013. He has over 30 years investment and banking experience in emerging markets and has forged a career serving as an independent director on listed and unlisted funds. He is currently chairman of Eastern European Property Fund, Kubera Cross Border Fund, Trading Emissions, Trinity Capital and Vietnam Resources Investments and a non-executive director of a number of other funds.
