Edward Noonan |
Mr. Edward Joseph Noonan is Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer of Validus Holdings Ltd., since October 2005. Mr. Noonan has over 30 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry, serving most recently as the acting chief executive officer of United America Indemnity Ltd. (Nasdaq: INDM) from February 2005 through October 2005 and as a member of the board of directors from December 2003 to May 2007. Mr. Noonan currently serves as a director of Central Mutual Insurance Company. Mr. Noonan served as president and chief executive officer of American Re-Insurance Company from 1997 to 2002, having joined American Re in 1983. Mr. Noonan also served as chairman of Inter-Ocean Reinsurance Holdings of Hamilton, Bermuda from 1997 to 2002. Prior to joining American Re, Mr. Noonan worked at Swiss Reinsurance from 1979 to 1983. |

Mr. Jeffrey D. Sangster has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer, Executive Vice President of Validus Holdings, Ltd., effective February 16, 2013. Mr. C. N. Rupert Atkin is Chief Executive Officer of the Talbot Group, a subsidiary Company of Validus Holdings, Ltd., since 2007. He began his career at the Alexander Howden Group in 1980 before moving to Catlin Underwriting Agencies in 1984. After six years at Catlin he left to join Talbot, then Venton Underwriting Ltd to start Syndicate 1183 as Active Underwriter. In November 2001, Mr. Atkin was made Director of Underwriting. Following the sale of Talbot to Validus in the summer of 2007 Mr. Atkin was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Talbot. Mr. Atkin has served or is still serving on a variety of market bodies including chairing the Lloyd's Underwriters' Association and Joint War Risk Committee and being a member of the Lloyd's Insurance Services Board, Lloyd's Regulatory Board, Lloyd's Professional Standards Committee and Lloyd's Charities Trust Committee. Mr. Atkin was appointed to the Council of Lloyd's in 2007 and appointed as the Chairman of the Lloyd's Market Association in 2012. |

Mr. Robert F. Kuzloski is Executive Vice President, General Counsel of Validus Holdings, Ltd. Mr. Kean D. Driscoll is Executive Vice President of Validus Holdings Ltd., and Chief Executive Officer of Validus Reinsurance, Ltd., the reinsurance segment for the Validus Group. He was a founding member of the Company, and previously served as Chief Underwriting Officer. Mr. Driscoll has 17 years of experience as a reinsurance underwriter, and was previously with Quanta Re, and Zurich Re N.A. (Converium). Mr. Andrew E. Kudera is Executive Vice President, Chief Actuary of Validus Holdings, Ltd. He has served as Chief Actuary of the Company since January 2010. Previously, Mr. Kudera operated an independent actuarial consulting firm which served as corporate actuary and loss reserve specialist for Validus Re from its inception through to the end of 2008. Prior to establishing his own consulting firm, Mr. Kudera was the Chief Reserving Actuary for Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd. Mr. Kudera has over 30 years of actuarial and financial management experience in the insurance industry, primarily in a consulting capacity. Mr. Kudera is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, an Associate of the Society of Actuaries, and a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries. |
Lixin Zeng |
Mr. Lixin Zeng, Ph.D., CFA is Executive Vice President of Validus Holdings, Ltd., and Chief Executive Officer of AlphaCat Managers, Ltd. and Validus Research Inc. He serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of AlphaCat Managers, Ltd. and has played a key role in AlphaCat since its formation in 2008. Prior to this role, he was Executive Risk Officer of Validus Reinsurance, Ltd., responsible for developing and executing the catastrophe risk strategy of the entire Validus Group. Mr. Zeng was one of the original eight employees at the founding of the Company in 2005. His prior positions include: Chief Catastrophe Risk Officer at the ACE Group from 2004 to 2005, Head of Development at Willis Re Inc. from 2001 to 2004, Analyst at EW Blanch Co. from 1998 to 2001 and Research Scientist at Arkwright Mutual Insurance Co from 1996 to 1998. Mr. Zeng has experience in insurance portfolio optimization and risk management and has published multiple articles in professional journals on related topics. He has a Ph.D. in atmospheric sciences from the University of Washington where he graduated in 1996. He received a B.S. in Meteorology from Beijing University, graduating in 1990 and is a CFA charterholder. |
John Hendrickson |
Mr. John Joseph Hendrickson is Director - Strategy, Risk Management and Corporate Development, Director of Validus Holdings, Ltd. Prior to this, Mr. Hendrickson was the Founder and Managing Partner of SFRi LLC, an independent investment and advisory firm (formed in 2004) specializing in the insurance industry. From 1995 to 2004, Mr. Hendrickson held various positions with Swiss Re, including as Member of the Executive Board, Head of Capital Partners (Swiss Re's Merchant Banking Division), and Managing Partner of Securitas Capital. From 1985 to 1995, Mr. Hendrickson was with Smith Barney, the U.S. investment banking firm. Mr. Hendrickson has served as a director for several insurance and financial services companies, and, in addition to the Company, currently serves on the board of Conning Holdings Corp (until April 2013). |

Mr. Joseph E. Consolino is Director of Validus Holdings Ltd., since October 31, 2012. Dr. Therese M. Vaughan is Director of Validus Holdings, Ltd. Dr. Vaughan served as Chief Executive Officer of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners from 2009 to 2012 where she oversaw operations and navigated the company through a period of financial regulatory reform. Previously, Dr. Vaughan served as the Iowa Insurance Commissioner and is a past NAIC President. She has also held academic positions, including the Robb B. Kelley Distinguished Professor of Insurance and Actuarial Science at Drake University, and co-authored two college textbooks on insurance. Dr. Vaughan earned a Ph.D. in risk and insurance at the University of Pennsylvania and a B.B.A. in insurance and economics at the University of Iowa. Mr. Christopher E. Watson is Director of Validus Holdings, Ltd., since October 2005. He also serves as a senior principal of Aquiline, which he joined in 2006. Mr. Watson has more than 35 years of experience in the financial services industry. From 1987 to 2004, Mr. Watson served in a variety of executive roles within the property & casualty insurance businesses of Citigroup and its predecessor entities. Mr. Michael E. A. Carpenter is Independent Director of Validus Holdings, Ltd. He joined Talbot in June 2001 as its Chief Executive Officer. Following the sale of Talbot to the Company in the summer of 2007, Mr. Carpenter was appointed as Chairman of Talbot. Mr. Matthew J. Grayson is Independent Director of Validus Holdings, Ltd., since its formation in October 2005. Since January of 2011, Mr. Grayson has served as a principal of Welder Asset Management, LLC, an oil and gas asset management firm based in San Antonio, Texas. From 2006 through 2010, Mr. Grayson served as a senior principal of Aquiline. Mr. Grayson has 28 years' experience in the financial services industry.
