Name Description
Bharti, Stan Mr. Stan Bharti is Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vast Exploration Inc. He has over 25 years of experience in operations, public markets and finance. Over the last ten years Mr. Bharti has been involved in acquiring, restructuring, and financing. Mr. Bharti has raised over $500 million in public markets over the last decade. His experience in public markets includes acquisitions of companies in Europe, Australia and North America. He is a Professional Mining Engineer and holds a Masters Degree in Engineering from Moscow, Russia and University of London, England. From 2002 to April 2006, Mr. Bharti was a director and past president of Desert Sun Mining Corp. (which was recently acquired by Yamana Gold Inc.). Additionally, Mr. Bharti has been a director of several public companies, including Valencia Ventures Inc., which he has been either a director or officer since 1994.
Said, Ahmed Mr. Ahmed S. Said is President, Chief Executive Officer, Director of Vast Exploration Inc. His background includes operational and senior management roles in the oil & gas industry both domestically and internationally. His recent focus has included corporate strategy development and host government negotiations. He is concurrently the President and CEO of Longford Energy Inc. He is also the director of several public and private companies. Mr. Said holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the University of Calgary, Canada.
Lobb, Gary Mr. Gary Lobb has been appointed as Vice President, Finance and CFO of Vast Exploration Inc. Mr. Lobb is a Chartered Accountant with over 22 years of petroleum industry financial and tax experience. Previously, he has held management positions in various financial capacities including the Vice President, Finance and CFO of C1 Energy Ltd. and the Vice President, Finance and CFO and Corporate Secretary of Nycan Energy Corp. Mr. Lobb holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary and obtained his Chartered Accountant designation while articling with Arthur Anderson & Co.
Gleeson, Patrick Mr. Patrick Gleeson is Secretary of Vast Exploration Inc. He is General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Longford Energy Inc. A lawyer in Canada, he joined the Company in April 2007. Prior to joining the Company Mr. Gleeson was a corporate and securities lawyer at a Canadian law firm. For more then six years, he has counseled companies regarding transactions material to their business, including significant equity and debt financings, transformational acquisitions, defences of hostile take-overs and court approved mergers. In addition, Mr. Gleeson has advised companies in connection with applications to list on stock exchanges in Canada, the United States and England. He has lectured to various audiences on corporate governance and stock exchange guidelines and requirements. Mr. Gleeson is a director of a number of private companies and an officer of several public companies. Mr. Gleeson obtained a J.D. and a Masters of Arts in International Relations from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Arts from Queen's University, Canada.
Naab, Richard Colonel (U.S. Army, Retired) Richard Naab is Vice President of Kurdistan Operations of Vast Exploration Inc. He was the commander of the allied forces in northern Iraq (Kurdistan) in 1991 where he was largely responsible for implementing a humanitarian effort to assist and resettle many of the destroyed villages. In 2003, he was appointed as North Regional Coordinator for the Coalition Provisional Authority, where he was responsible for the administration of seven northern governorates (including Kurdistan) from a military and economic perspective. Richard graduated from the U.S. Army war college and holds a Bachelor of Economics from University of Notre Dame and a Masters in History from San Jose State University.
Brennan, Mark Mr. Mark P. Brennan is Director of Vast Exploration Inc. Mr. Brennan was a founding member of Desert Sun Mining with over 20 years financing experience in North America & Europe. Mr. Brennan is also the founder and principal of Linear Capital, president and CEO of Largo Resources Inc. and former President, CEO and Chairman of Admiral Bay Resources.
Gandhi, Tito Mr. Tito Gandhi is Director of Vast Exploration Inc. He brings over twenty years experience as an entrepreneur, business operator and investor. Currently he is President & CEO of RAJ Gaming Corp an emerging markets gaming company operating casinos in the Dominican Republic, Kyrgyzstan and India employing over 900 people. During his career, Mr. Gandhi has bought, restructured and sold a number of private companies. He was founder, President & CEO of the Office Solutions Group, a technology solution provider that was acquired in 2004 by OCE Imaging, a business technology integrator from the Netherlands.
Garner, Jay General (U.S. Army, Retired) Jay M. Garner has been appoinnted to the Board of Directors of Vast Exploration Inc. Mr. Garner has been involved as an advisor to Vast and to Forbes & Manhattan, Inc. in the recent acquisition of an oil block in Kurdistan, Northern Iraq. General Garner's military career culminated with his being Assistant Vice Chief of Staff, U.S. Army. Prior assignments include Commanding General, U.S. Army Space and Strategic Defense Command (USASSDC), headquartered in Arlington, Virginia; Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff for Force Development, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations and Plans, Washington, D.C. at the Pentagon; Deputy Commanding General, V Corps in Frankfurt Germany; and Deputy Commanding General, U.S. Army Air Defense School. In January 2003, General Garner was appointed by the Secretary of Defense to organize and direct the Office of Reconstruction and Humanitarian Assistance (ORHA) for post-war Iraq. In 1991, General Garner was appointed Commanding General, Joint Task Force Bravo for Operation Provide Comfort in northern Iraq. Under his leadership, a coalition of American, British, French and Italian forces provided humanitarian relief assistance to the Iraqi Kurds. After his retirement from the military, General Garner became President of SYTechnology. From 2000 to 2001, he was a member of the Congressionally-mandated Commission to Assess United States National Security Space Management and Organization.
