Ronning, Randy Mr. Randy S. Ronning has been appointed as Chairman of the Board of ValueVision Media, Inc effective June 25, 2009. He has served as Director of ValueVision Media, Inc. Mr. Ronning served as executive vice president and chief merchandising officer of QVC, where he oversaw all merchandising, brand management, and merchandise analysis efforts of QVC and QVC.com, from June 2005 until his retirement in January 2007. He also was responsible for QVC.com operations during this period. Previously, Mr. Ronning was executive vice president over affiliate sales and marketing, information services, marketing, research and sales analysis, direct marketing, corporate marketing, public relations, and charitable giving at QVC, from 2001 to May 2005. Prior to joining QVC, Mr. Ronning spent 30 years with J.C. Penney Co., where he held executive positions including president of its catalog and internet divisions.
Stewart, Keith Mr. Keith R. Stewart is Chief Executive Officer and Director of ValueVision Media, Inc. He resigned from the company as President on February 01, 2010. Mr. Stewart has been appointed as President, Chief Operating Officer and Director of ValueVision Media, Inc. Mr. Stewart has over 20 years of executive retail experience both domestically and internationally with nearly 15 years of operational and leadership experience in home shopping at QVC. He possesses a strong understanding of multi-channel retailing and has a proven history of delivering growth and profitability spanning markets in the United States and Germany. Mr. Stewart served the majority of his retail career at QVC, where he most recently was General Manager of QVC's large and profitable German business unit, Vice President - Merchandising Home of QVC (USA), and Vice President - International Sourcing of QVC (USA). He began his career as Merchandise Manager of Commtron Corp., responsible for wholesale merchandising of entertainment and communication electronics nationwide. He is currently President, Chief Executive Officer, Director of ValueVision Media Inc.
Ayd, G. Robert Mr. G. Robert Ayd was appointed President of ValueVision Media, Inc., effective February 1, 2010. Prior to joining the Company, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Merchandising Officer at QVC (U.S.) from 2006 to 2008; he also served as Senior Vice President, Design Development & Global Sourcing and Brand Development from 2005 to 2006, and Senior Vice President of Jewelry and Fashion from 2000 to 2004. Mr. Ayd began his career at Macy’s in 1975 as a buyer of handbags, bodywear and footwear, launching a 20-year tenure that included promotion to numerous executive leadership positions, culminating with Senior Vice President in Women's Sportswear. Mr. Ayd was an independent consultant from 2008-2009.
Elsenbast, Frank Frank P. Elsenbast is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of ValueVision Media, Inc. Mr. Elsenbast has served as Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis from September 2003 to October 2004, when he became Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Elsenbast was promoted to Senior Vice President in May 2006. Mr. Elsenbast has over 19 years of corporate finance, operations analysis and public accounting experience. From May 2001 to September 2003, he served as Finance Director and from May 2000 to May 2001 he served as Finance Manager at the company. Mr. Fagre joined the company as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary in May 2000. From 1996 to 2000, Mr. Fagre was Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Occidental Oil and Gas Corporation in Los Angeles, California, the oil and gas operating subsidiary of Occidental Petroleum Corporation. From 1995 to 1996, Mr. Fagre held other positions in the legal department at Occidental. Sabatier, Jean-Guillaume Jean-Guillaume Sabatier is Senior Vice President — Sales & Product Planning and Programming of ValueVision Media, Inc. since November, 2008. Most recently, Mr. Sabatier served as director, sales and product planning for QVC, Inc., from July 2007 to October 2008. Prior to that time, Mr. Sabatier held various positions in QVC’s German business unit, including director, programming and planning from July 2003 to July 2007. He began his QVC career as a sales and product planner in June 1997.
Ahmann, Mark Mark A. Ahmann is Senior Vice President - Human Resources & TV Sales of ValueVision Media, Inc. since January 2009, after joining ShopNBC in September 2008 as senior vice president, human resources. Prior to ShopNBC he served as an independent consultant with HR Connection from October 2007 to August 2008 and as senior vice president of operations and human resources at Prime Therapeutics, a pharmacy benefit management services provider, from August 2005 to September 2007. Previously, Mr. Ahmann was vice president of human resources at Cargill, a global agricultural and trading company from November 2003 to March 2005. Prior to that time he served as vice president of administration and human resources at FSI International and as vice president of human resources - acquisitions and divestitures at Aetna. He began his career in human resources with Honeywell.
Kulesza, Kris Kris M. Kulesza is Senior Vice President - Merchandising of ValueVision Media, Inc. since May 2008. She having served most recently as vice president and general manager at Hallmark Direct, a division of Hallmark Cards, from July 2007 to April 2008, where she directed its direct-to-consumer business unit (online and catalog) including merchandising, marketing, finance, operations, fulfillment, and technology. Beginning in 1998, she held merchandising and senior executive positions at Home Shopping Network (HSN), including executive vice president of HSN.com from November 2005 to November 2006, senior vice president of merchandising at HSN.com from May 2005 to November 2005, and senior vice president of jewelry at HSN from 2004 to May 2005. From December 2006 to June 2007, Ms. Kulesza took time off to be with her family. Prior to her work at HSN, Ms. Kulesza was vice president of merchandising at Peoples Jewelers and president of Lipton’s, both in Canada. Ms. Kulesza began her professional career as an auditor with Deloitte & Touche (Toronto).
Steinberg, Carol Ms. Carol Steinberg is Senior Vice President - E-Commerce of ValueVision Media, Inc. Ms. Steinberg will direct all day-to-day operations of the company's Internet business, online marketing, and strategy development and implementation. Ms. Steinberg brings over 25 years of experience in marketing, customer relationships, management, strategic planning and business development across a broad portfolio of businesses in the TV shopping, retail, cable, pharmaceutical and financial industries. Previously she was Vice President at David's Bridal, where she expanded its Internet presence by designing and implementing marketing and merchandising strategies that drove traffic in store and online. Murray, Michael Michael A. Murray is Vice President - Operations of ValueVision Media, Inc. Mr. Murray has over 25 years of operations and business management experience. Prior to joining ValueVision Media, Mr. Murray was senior vice president of Operations for the Fingerhut Companies and Federated Department Stores direct to consumer divisions. While at Fingerhut (12 years) Mr. Murray also led FBSI operations, Fingerhut’s 3rd party direct to consumer arm serving Walmart.com, Inuit, Levi’s, Wet Seal and others. Mr. Murray has held executive leadership positions in various direct to consumer and retail companies including Merrill Corporation, Lieberman Enterprises, and Associated Wholesale Grocers. Mr. Murray began his career with John Deere as an Industrial Engineer.
Vassallo, Nicholas Nicholas J. Vassallo is Vice President and Corporate Controller of ValueVision Media, Inc. He first joined ValueVision Media as director of financial reporting in October 1996. During that time he also had responsibility for direct-mail acquisitions and other corporate business development ventures. Mr. Vassallo was named corporate controller in 1999 and the following year was promoted to vice president. Prior to ValueVision he served as corporate controller for Fourth Shift Corporation, a software development company. Mr. Vassallo is a Certified Public Accountant and began his career with Arthur Anderson, LLP in their audit practice group.
Korkowski, Robert Robert J. Korkowski is Director of ValueVision Media, Inc. Mr. Korkowski, from 1989 until his retirement in 1996, was the senior vice president of finance and a director of Opus Corporation, a privately held real estate development and construction company. From 1986 to 1989, Mr. Korkowski was the vice president and chief financial officer of National Computer Systems, Inc., an information systems company. From 1974 to 1986, Mr. Korkowski was executive vice president and chief financial officer of G. Heileman Brewing Company. Mr. Korkowski served as a director of Redline Performance Products, Inc. beginning in 2003 until August 2004. On August 28, 2004, Redline Performance Products filed a voluntary petition for relief under Chapter 7 of the United States Bankruptcy Code with the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Minnesota.
Buck, John Mr. John D. Buck has served as Chairman of the Board of ValueVision Media, Inc since January 26, 2009. Mr. John D. Buck was Executive Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of the Company. From October 25, 2007 to March 3, 2008, Mr. Buck served as interim chief executive officer. His previous experience includes serving as chief executive officer of Medica, Minnesota’s second largest health insurer, from February 2002 to May 2003. Previously, Mr. Buck worked for Fingerhut Companies from 1996 to October, 2000 where he held executive positions of increasing responsibility, concluding with service as president and chief operating officer. Mr. Berardino has served as a managing director at Alvarez & Marsal, a global professional services firm, since October 2008. Prior to joining Alvarez & Marsal, Mr. Berardino was chairman of the board of directors and chief executive officer of Profectus BioSciences, a biotechnology company, from October 2005 to January 2008. From February 2008 to September 2008 Mr. Berardino continued his service as a member of the board of directors of Porfectur BioSciences but was not an employee during that period. He previously served as vice- chairman of Sciens Capital Management, a New York-based alternative asset management firm, from mid-2004 to September 2005. Dunleavy, Catherine Catherine Dunleavy is Director of ValueVision Media, Inc. Ms. Dunleavy has served as executive vice president and chief financial officer, NBC Universal Cable, since March 2007. In her present role Ms. Dunleavy oversees the financial performance and strategic analysis of NBC Universal’s cable properties including USA, Sci Fi, Bravo, Oxygen, Universal HD, Sleuth, Chiller, i-Village and Cable Studio, as well as the financial performance of cable distribution. Previously Ms. Dunleavy held the role of senior vice president and chief financial officer of USA and Sci Fi from May 2004 to March 2007. In her prior roles at NBC Universal, Ms. Dunleavy was vice president of financial planning and analysis from January 2001 to May 2004. Before joining NBC Universal, Ms. Dunleavy worked for GE’s corporate audit staff from June 1995 to January 2001, where she was promoted to executive audit manager.
Kocsi, Patrick Patrick O. Kocsi is Director of ValueVision Media, Inc. Mr. Kocsi was named a senior managing director of GE Equity in February 2009, where he leads the portfolio management team for the business. Previously, from June 2007 to January 2009, he was a managing director at GE Equity. Mr. Kocsi joined GE in 1991 in the Financial Management Program in GE Plastics. He worked in The Netherlands, France, and the US. In 1996, he joined GE Capital working on acquisitions in the US, Brazil, and Germany. In that role Mr. Kocsi began investing in industrial, media, transportation, and technology companies. Currently he serves as a director on the board of SecureWorks.
Garrubbo, Edwin Mr. Edwin P. Garrubbo is Director of ValueVision Media Inc. Mr. Garrubbo is currently CEO of Creative Commerce, LLC, an investment and strategy firm with more than 50 years of combined experience in the direct-response industry. Previously, he served as CEO of American Telecast Products, LLC, where he helped launch more than a dozen celebrity-driven direct response television campaigns, including Christie Brinkley and Chuck Norris for Total Gym, Suzanne Somers, Cher, Victoria Jackson, and Jane Fonda, to name a few. Mr. Garrubbo began his professional career as an attorney at the Washington, DC law firm Venable in its new media and marketing practice group. Mr. Garrubbo was Chairman of the Electronic Retailing Association in 2008. During his tenure, he shifted the focus of the 450-member trade association, largely consisting of direct-response marketers, to include a broader assortment of new media marketing and e-commerce companies. Mr. Garrubbo was a founding member of ERA Europe (2005), whose members include the largest TV shopping channels on the continent. He served on its board until 2007.
