Baan, A. Mr. A. (Adri) Baan has been Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Wolters Kluwer since April 26, 2006. He was first appointed to the Supervisory Board in 2002 and his current term runs until 2010. He holds a Masters degree in Physics from the Universiteit van Amsterdam (University of Amsterdam). He is Member of the Company's Selection and Remuneration Committee and Audit Committee. Mr. Baan is former Executive Board Member of Royal Philips Electronics nv. His current Supervisory Directorships and other positions include: Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Hagemeyer nv (until March 28, 2008) and Koninklijke Volker Wessels Stevin nv; Chairman of the Board of Directors (Non-Executive Director) of Dockwise Ltd. McKinstry, Nancy Ms. Nancy McKinstry has been Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Executive Board of Wolters Kluwer since September 1, 2003. She was appointed as Member of the Executive Board on June 1, 2001. Before assuming her present position, Ms. McKinstry previously served as Chief Executive Officer (CEO)of Wolters Kluwer’s operations in North America. She also was President and CEO of CCH Legal Information Services, now a part of Wolters Kluwer’s Corporate & Financial Services division. Earlier, she held product management positions with CCH INCORPORATED, now part of Wolters Kluwer’s Tax, Accounting & Legal division. In 1999, she worked briefly as CEO of SCP Communications, before rejoining Wolters Kluwer to head North American operations. Early in her career, Ms. McKinstry held management positions with Booz Allen Hamilton. She is currently a Member of the Boards of Directors of Ericsson, the American Chamber of Commerce in the Netherlands, and TiasNimbas Business School. Ms. McKinstry is also a Member of the Advisory Council of the Amsterdam Institute of Finance, the Dutch Advisory Council of INSEAD, the Advisory Board for the University of Rhode Island, and the Board of Overseers of Columbia Business School. In addition, she is a Member of the University Club of New York City. Ms. McKinstry was named one of Europe’s Top 25 Women in Business by the Financial Times, and was among Fortune's 50 Most Powerful Women and Forbes’ 100 Most Powerful Women. Most recently, Ms. McKinstry was also ranked in the 50 Women to Watch 2007 list by the Wall Street Journal. She earned her MBA in Finance and Marketing from Columbia University, New York, and Bachelors Degree in Economics from the University of Rhode Island, Kingston, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa. In May 2005, she was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Laws by the University of Rhode Island in recognition of her contributions to business.
Wakkie, Peter Mr. Peter N. Wakkie has been Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Wolters Kluwer since April 20, 2007 and his current term runs until 2009. Becker, Robert Mr. Robert (Bob) Becker has been President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Wolters Kluwer Health division of Wolters Kluwer since November 1, 2008. Previously Mr. Becker served as President and CEO Law & Business since July 2003. Prior to joining Wolters Kluwer, Mr. Becker was CEO of Jupiter-MediaMetrix. She has spent over 20 years in investment banking, 19 of which were with Lehman brothers where she was a Senior Media Banker. As a Managing Director at Lehman Brothers, Ms. Satin was the lead banker on many industry-defining transactions in the media and information industry. Ms. Satin began her career with Lehman Brothers in 1989 as an associate in the media and communications group. She was promoted to Managing Director in the group in 1998. Lynch, John Mr. John J. (Jack) Lynch, Jr. has been appointed Member of the Executive Board of Wolters Kluwer since April 20, 2007 (effective May 1, 2007). Before his appointment as Member of the Executive Board Mr. Lynch was Senior Vice President, Business Development since June 2006. In this role, he was responsible for the identification and investigation of cross-divisional business opportunities, focusing on leveraging existing products and business models, with particular emphasis on software and web-based enterprise applications and workflow tools. Before joining Wolters Kluwer in 2006, Mr. Lynch was President and Chief Executive Officer of the Pearson School Technology Group within the Pearson Education School Companies, Phoenix, Arizona. Mr. Lynch holds a Bachelor of Arts from Boston University.
