Zhang, Yong Mr. Yong Zhang founded the Xinyuan Real Estate Co., Ltd. in 1997 and is the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Zhang has more than 20 year’s of working experience in the real estate industry. Prior to founding the company, he worked at several construction and property development companies, including Zhengzhou City Construction and Development Inc. and China Antai Real Estate Development Inc. Mr. Zhang is also vice chairman of Henan Real Estate Association, a member of China Democratic National Construction Association and a deputy to the 11th People’s Congress of Henan Province in China. Mr. Zhang received an Executive Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Tsinghua University in 2005 and a Bachelor’s Degree in architecture from Henan Zhongzhou University in 1985.
Gurnee, Thomas Mr. Thomas Gurnee is Chief Financial Officer, Director of Xinyuan Real Estate Co., Ltd. He was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Company in December 2007 and as Chief Financial Officer in February 2009.
