Name Description

Leif Teksum

Mr. Leif Teksum has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of Yara International ASA since May 5, 2014. Leif Teksum has since 1991 had various roles in the DNB Group Management. In the period 2003-2013, he was Group EVP with responsibility for corporate clients in Norway and all international banking activities in DNB/DnB NOR. Since 2013 he has, as Senior Relationship Manager, been responsible for a portfolio of customers in Norway and Sweden. Teksum has led the bank's Investment Banking area, the Asset Management functions as well as the IT and Purchasing activity. In the period 1987 - 1989 he was head of the Bergen Bank London branch. Teksum has a Master’s degree in Business and Economics from The Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration.

Jorgen Haslestad

Mr. Jorgen Ole Haslestad no longer serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Yara International ASA, effective as of February 1, 2015 at the latest. He has held this position since October 2008. Prior to this, he served as Member of the Company's Board from 2004. Earlier in his career, Mr. Haslestad held several senior management positions at Siemens AG (1994-2008), most recently as Chief Executive Officer of the Group’s Industry Solutions Division, Germany. Before that, he served as Managing Director of Kongsberg Offshore AS, Norway (1986-1994). He was also Project Engineer and Project Manager of the oil division, Kongsberg Vaapenfabrikk AA, Norway (1980-1986). He holds a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Norwegian Institute of Technology (NTH - now Norges Teknisk-Naturvitenskapelige Universitet - NTNU).

Hilde Aasheim

Ms. Hilde Merete Aasheim has served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Yara International ASA since May 5, 2014. She has been Member of the Board of the Company since May 2010. She also serves as Chairperson of the Company's Audit Committee. Ms. Aasheim is Executive Vice President (EVP) of Primary Metal in Yara’s predecessor company, Hydro. Prior to that, she served as Executive Vice President for the Aluminium Metal business area in the same company. She joined Hydro in October 2005 as EVP for Leadership and Culture. Earlier in her career, she worked for Elkem (1986-2005). She has also worked for Arthur Andersen & Co. She is Member of the Board of Norsk Industri. Ms. Aasheim holds a Master’s degree in Business Economics from Norges Handelshoyskole (the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration in Bergen). She is an accredited public accountant.

Torgeir Kvidal

Mr. Torgeir Kvidal has served as Chief Financial Officer at Yara International ASA since June 15, 2012. He was Acting Chief Financial Officer of the Company from May 21, 2012, and Head of Supply and Trade at the Company from April 1, 2011 until June 15, 2012. Previously, he was Senior Vice President of Investor Relations at the Company between 2006 and May 1, 2011. He started his professional career at Hydro as trainee in 1991. Over the years, he served in such roles as Corporate Controller Hydro Agri from 1993 to 1997, Vice President of Finance Hydrogas from 1997 to 1999, Head of Business Unit CO2/Industrial Central Europe from 2000 until 2005, and Chief Financial Officer Industrial between 2005 and 2006. He holds a Master's degree in Economics and Business Administration from Norges Handelshoyskole (Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration).

Kaija Korolainen

Ms. Kaija Korolainen has been appointed Chief Human Resource Officer at Yara International ASA, effective as of June 1, 2014. She holds a Master's Degree in Law and Economics, and has experience from operational and strategic HR, most recently as Director HR EAME for agricultural equipment producer AGCO, based in Switzerland.

Trygve Faksvaag

Mr. Trygve Faksvaag has served as Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Counsel of Yara International ASA since May 2008. His previous positions within the Company and its predecessor, Norsk Hydro, include Managing Director of Yara Switzerland Ltd. from 2006 to 2008, Vice President and General Counsel of Yara North America, Inc (2004-2006) and Legal Counsel and Vice President of Norsk Hydro Americas, Inc. (2001-2003). Mr. Faksvaag joined Hydro/Yara in 1996 from the Norwegian law firm Wikborg, Rein & Co. He holds a Law degree from Universitetet i Oslo.

Yves Bonte

Mr. Yves Bonte has served as Senior Vice President and Head of Industrial at Yara International ASA since January 2010. Prior to joining the Company, he spent 17 years with the chemical company LyondellBasell and its predecessors, serving as Senior Vice President of Polypropylene Business based in Germany and the Netherlands (2007-2009), Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Asia, Middle East/Africa and Latin America, based in Hong Kong (2002-2006) and Head of Strategic Marketing (2000-2001), and held several marketing, supply chain and manufacturing positions (1992-1999). Prior to this, he worked five years for Exxon Chemical in Brussels. Mr. Bonte holds a post-graduate degree in Business Management and a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium (University of Leuven).

Egil Hogna

Mr. Egil Hogna has served as Senior Vice President and Head of Downstream at Yara International ASA since August 2009. He has been employed ta the Company since 1999. His previous positions within the Company and its predecessor, Norsk Hydro, include Chief Financial Officer (2008-2009), Manager of Business Unit South Europe/Mediterranean (2007-2008), Senior Vice President Business Intelligence (2006-2007); Vice President of Investor Relations (2004-2006), Vice President of Hydro Aluminum Metal Products (responsible for Supply Chain & Performance Management) (2001-2003) and Corporate Controller Hydro Agri (1999-2001). Before joining Norsk Hydro, he was a consultant with McKinsey (1994-1999). Mr. Hogna holds a Master of Science degree in Industrial Management from the Norwegian Institute of Technology (NTH - now Norges Teknisk-Naturvitenskapelige Universitet - NTNU) and a Master of Business Administration degree from INSEAD. He also completed the Harvard Business School AMP Program.

Gerd Lobbert

Dr. Gerd Lobbert has been appointed Senior Vice President and Head of Upstream at Yara International ASA, effective as of December 1, 2012. He was previously Executive Vice President for Polyolefins in the Vienna-based Borealis Group (2010-2011). He also held several managerial positions in the BASF Group, including Group Vice President (2002-2009). He holds a Doctorate of Philosophy degree in Chemistry.

Bente Slaatten

Ms. Bente G. H. Slaatten has served as Senior Vice President and Chief Communications and Branding Officer at Yara International ASA since October 2009. She previously was Vice President Corporate Communications in the Company from January 1, 2008. Before joining Yara, she was President of the Norwegian Nurses Organization (1998-2007) and its Chief Negotiator and Director of the Department of Negotiation (1995-1998). Earlier in her career, she held various positions within the Norwegian Association of Local and Regional Authorities (1984-1995). Ms. Slaatten holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Norges Handelshoyskole - NHH (the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration) and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and a degree in Business Administration from Handelshoyskolen BI (the Norwegian School of Management). Thor Giaever

Mr. Thor Giaever serves as Head of Investor Relations of Yara International ASA. He has experience from several positions in the Company, including Head of Controlling and Investor Relations Officer.

Alvin Rosvoll

Mr. Alvin Rosvoll has served as Head of Supply and Trade at Yara International ASA since June 15, 2012. He previously served as Business Unit Manager North and East Europe from 2007. His previous positions in the Company include Commercial Director in the Downstream Segment and Deputy President Yara Industrial Gases. Before that, he held a number of commercial and management positions since joining the Company in 1981. Mr. Rosvoll holds a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the Norwegian Institute of Technology (NTH), currently Norges Teknisk-Naturvitenskapelige Universitet - NTNU.

Hilde Bakken

Ms. Hilde Bakken has been Member of the Board of Directors of Yara International ASA since May 5, 2014. She is Member of the Compensation Committee. Hilde Bakken has held various leadership roles in Statkraft within market and power production areas since 2000. Since 2010, Bakken has been part of Statkraft Executive management, from 2010 to 2013 as Chief of Staff and since 2013 she has been responsible for Statkraft’s power generation activities in seven countries. She is also responsible for further development of Statkraft's hydropower concessions in North-West Europe. Before joining Statkraft, she was employed in Norsk Hydro and Conoco where she has held various management and engineering positions in operations and field development on the Norwegian continental shelf. Bakken has a Master’s degree from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands.

Rune Bratteberg

Mr. Rune Bratteberg has served as Employee Representative at the Board of Directors at Yara International ASA since 2012. He is Member of the Audit Committee. He has been employee in the Company since 1986, currently in the position of Head of Chemical Compliance. He has held different IT and HESQ leadership positions within Hydro and Yara, from 2001 to 2009 as CIO. Mr. Bratteberg has been a member of the Chemical Industry Advisory Board to SAP AG (2004-2009), and Chairman of the Board at the Scandinavian School of Brussels (2009-2011). He holds a degree in Information Technology from the Bergen Tekniske Hyskole, Norway.

Geir Isaksen

Mr. Geir Isaksen has been Member of the Board of Directors of Yara International ASA since May 13, 2013. He is member of the Compensation Committee. He is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Norwegian State Railways (NSB) Mr. Isaksen served as CEO of Cermaq ASA (previously Statkorn Holding ASA) from 1995 to 2011, where he led the comprehensive restructuring and IPO of the company. Prior to this he was the Brussels representative of the Norwegian Farmers Association (1993-1994); Trade Manager of AL Gartnerhallen (1986-1993); Research Fellow of the Agricultural University of Norway (now NMBU) (1985-1986). He holds a Doctorate in Philosophy degree in Agricultural Economics from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences.

Guro Mauset

Ms. Guro Mauset has served as Employee Representative on the Board of Directors at Yara International ASA since 2012. She has been with the Company since 2009. She currently holds the position of Group Coordinator of the Process Technology and Support group in the Process Modeling and Control department at Yara Technology Center in Porsgrunn, Norway. She holds a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Norges Tekniske Hoyskole, Trondheim (NTH) - (Norwegian Institute of Technology). She has been a board member of the Norwegian Society of Chartered Scientific and Academic Professionals (Tekna) in Yara since 2011.

Geir Sundbo

Mr. Geir O. Sundbo has served as Employee Representative on the Board of Directors of Yara International ASA since 2010. He is Member of the Compensation Committee. He has been a Yara (Hydro) employee since 1987. He has been actively engaged in union matters in the Porsgrunn plant since 1989. He is Deputy Chairman of the local union chapter in Heroya Industripark Porsgrunn and Union Chairman of Yara Porsgrunn. He is also Member of the Executive Committee of the IndustriCluster Grenland (ICG). Mr. Sundbo is a certified TQM supervisor (since 1990). He is Chairman of the European Works Council (EWC) of the Company. He has also been Chairman of the audit committee in National Trade Union of Industrial Energy since 2013.

John Thuestad

Mr. John G. Thuestad has served as Member of the Board of Directors of Yara International ASA since May 5, 2014. He is Member of the Audit Committee. John Thuestad has since 2013 led Sapa Extrusions Europe, with 50 locations, 11,000 employees and 20,000 customers. From 2012 to 2013 he led Sapa Profiles with production plants in Europe, North America and China. From 2009 to 2012 he led Alcoa Global Primary Products with 40 locations in Australia, Latin America, Europe and North America. Thuestad has previously been CEO of Elkem AS and Elkem Aluminium AS. Prior to that, Thuestad was Managing Director of Norzink AS and Fundo AS. Thuestad has a Master’s degree from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA. Thuestad is Chairman of the European Aluminium Association, Extrusion Division and an Overseas Trustee of the American Scandinavian Foundation.
