Name Description

Bernt Reitan

 Mr. Bernt Reitan has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of Yara International ASA since 2012, and Member of the Board of Directors of the Company since 2009. He also serves as Member of the Company's Audit Committee. Mr. Reitan is a former Executive Vice President and Member of the Executive Council of Alcoa Group. Prior to joining Alcoa, he had a series of positions with Elkem ASA over a 20-year period: he was Member of Elkem ASA’s Corporate Management (1988-2000) and served as Managing Director of Elkem Aluminum ANS. Mr. Reitan serves on the Board of Directors for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and REC ASA, and is Co-Chair of the board of American Scandinavian Foundation (ASF) in New York. He holds a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Norwegian Institute of Technology (NTH), today a part of Norges Teknisk-Naturvitenskapelige Universitet - NTNU.

Jorgen Haslestad

 Mr. Jorgen Ole Haslestad has been President and Chief Executive Officer of Yara International ASA since October 2008. Prior to this, he served as Member of the Company's Board from 2004. Earlier in his carrier, Mr. Haslestad held several senior management positions at Siemens AG (1994–2008), most recently as Chief Executive Officer of the Group’s Industry Solutions Division, Germany. Before that, he served as Managing Director as well as Overseas Director of Kongsberg Offshore AS, Norway (1986-1994). He was also Overseas Manager of the oil division, Kongsberg Vaapenfabrikk AA, Norway (1980–1986). Mr. Haslestad is Member of the Board of Directors of Tandberg ASA. He holds a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Norwegian Institute of Technology (NTH - now Norges Teknisk-Naturvitenskapelige Universitet - NTNU).

Torgeir Kvidal

 Mr. Torgeir Kvidal has served as Chief Financial Officer at Yara International ASA since June 15, 2012. He was Acting Chief Financial Officer of the Company from May 21, 2012, and Head of Supply and Trade at the Company from April 1, 2011 until June 15, 2012. Previously, he was Senior Vice President of Investor Relations at the Company between 2006 and May 1, 2011. He started his professional carrier at Hydro as trainee in 1991. Over the years, he served in such roles as Corporate Controller Hydro Agri from 1993 to 1997, Vice President of Finance Hydrogas from 1997 to 1999, Head of Business Unit CO2/Industrial Central Europe from 2000 until 2005, and Chief Financial Officer Industrial between 2005 and 2006. Bente Slaatten

 Mrs. Bente G.H. Slaatten has served as Senior Vice President, Chief Communications and Branding Officer at Yara International ASA since October 2009. She previously was Vice President Corporate Communications in the Company from January 1, 2008. Before joining Yara, she was President of the Norwegian Nurses Organization (1998–2007) and its Chief Negotiator and Director of the Department of Negotiation (1995–1998). Earlier in her carrier, she held various positions within the Norwegian Association of Local and Regional Authorities (1984-1995). Mrs. Slaatten holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from Norges Handelshoyskole - NHH (the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration) and a Bachelor’s degree in nursing and a degree in Business Administration from Handelshoyskolen BI (the Norwegian School of Management). She has also studied Organization and Project Management at Universitet i Oslo.

Trygve Faksvaag

 Mr. Trygve Faksvaag has served as Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Counsel of Yara International ASA since May 2008. His previous positions within the Company and its predecessor, Norsk Hydro, include Managing Director of Yara Switzerland Ltd. from 2006 to 2008, Vice President and General Counsel of Yara North America, Inc (2004–2006) and Legal Counsel and Vice President of Norsk Hydro Americas, Inc. (2001–2003). Mr. Faksvaag joined Hydro/Yara in 1996 from the Norwegian law firm Wikborg, Rein & Co.

Hakan Hallen

 Mr. Hakan Hallen has served as Chief Human Resource Officer of Yara International ASA since August, 2009. Prior to joining the Company, he served in various senior positions, including Group Human Resources Director at Aibel Group Ltd, London (2008–2009), Director Human Resources at UBS, Zurich (2006–2008), Executive Vice President at Accenture (2004–2006) and Senior Vice President Human Resources at Volvo, Brussels (1998–2004). He also has worked within Human Resources positions at the World Bank, Washington DC and the OECD, Paris (1987–1998). He holds a Master of Science degree in Behavioral Science and Personnel Management equivalent from Goteborgs Universitet.

Yves Bonte

 Mr. Yves Bonte has served as Senior Vice President, Head of Industrial at Yara International ASA since January, 2010. Prior to joining the Company, he spent 17 years with the chemical company Lyondellbasell and its predecessors, serving as Senior Vice President of Polypropylene Business based in Germany and the Netherlands (2007-2009), Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Asia, Middle East/Africa and Latin America, based in Hong Kong (2002-2006) and Head of Strategic Marketing (2000-2001), among other positions. Prior to this, he worked five years for Exxon Chemical in Brussels. Mr. Bonte holds a post-graduate degree in Business Management and a Masters degree in Civil Engineering from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium (University of Leuven).

Egil Hogna

 Mr. Egil Hogna has served as Senior Vice President, Head of Downstream at Yara International ASA since August, 2009. His previous positions within the Company and its predecessor, Norsk Hydro, include Chief Financial Officer (2008–2009), Manager of Business Unit South Europe/Mediterranean(2007–2008), Senior Vice President Business Intelligence (2006–2007); Vice President of Investor Relations (2004-2006), Vice President of Hydro Aluminum Metal Products (responsible for Supply Chain & Performance Management) (2001–2003) and Corporate Controller Hydro Agri (1999–2001). Before joining Norsk Hydro, he was a consultant with McKinsey (1994–1999). Mr. Hogna holds a Master of Science degree in Industrial Management from the Norwegian Institute of Technology (NTH - now Norges Teknisk-Naturvitenskapelige Universitet - NTNU) and a Master of Business Administration degree from INSEAD.

 Mr. Thor Giaever has been Head of Investor Relations of Yara International ASA. He has experience from several positions in the Company, including Head of Controlling and Investor Relations Officer.

Gerd Lobbert

 Dr. Gerd Lobbert has been appointed Head of Upstream at Yara International ASA, effective as of December 1, 2012. He has experience from managing positions at BASF and Borealis. He holds a Doctorate of Philosophy degree in Chemistry.

Alvin Rosvoll

Rune Bratteberg

 Mr. Rune Bratteberg has served as Employee Representative at the Board of Directors at Yara International ASA since 2012. He has been employee in the Company since 1986, currently in the position of Head of Chemical Compliance. He has held different IT and HESQ leadership positions within Hydro and Yara, from 2001 to 2009 as CIO. From 2006 to 2012 she was Managing Director for Research and Innovation of Det Norske Veritas (DNV). Previously, she was responsible for the DNV business area Technology Services (2002-2006). Guro Mauset

 Mrs. Guro Mauset has served as Employee Representative on the Board of Directors at Yara International ASA since 2012. She has been with the Company since 2009. She currently holds the position of Group Coordinator of the Process Technology and Support group in the Process Modeling and Control department at Yara Technology Center in Porsgrunn, Norway.  Mr. Juha Rantanen has served as Member of the Board of Directors at Yara International ASA since 2012. Previously he served as the President and CEO of Outokumpu Oyj (2005-11). From 1998 to 2004 he was the CEO of Ahlstrom Corporation, and between 1994 and 1997 he was the CEO of Borealis A/S.  Mr. Geir O. Sundbo has served as Employee Representative on the Board of Directors of Yara International ASA since 2010. He has been a Yara (Hydro) employee since 1987. He has been actively engaged in union matters in the Porsgrunn plant since 1989. He is Deputy Chairman of the local union chapter in Heroya Industripark Porsgrunn and Union Chairman of Yara Porsgrunn. He is also Member of the Executive Committee of the IndustriCluster Grenland (ICG). Mr. Sundbo is a certified TQM supervisor (since 1990).
