Marrone, Peter Mr. Peter Marrone serves as Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer of Yamana Gold Inc. Mr. Marrone founded Yamana as President and Chief Executive Officer of Yamana in July 2003. Mr. Marrone was appointed Chairman of Yamana in May 2007. Mr. Marrone has more than 20 years of business and capital markets experience and has been on the boards of a number of public companies and advised companies with a strong South American presence. Mr. Marrone holds a Bachelor of Laws degree. Mr. Marrone also sits on the board of Aura Minerals Inc. and the York University Foundation.
Costa, Ludovico Mr. Ludovico Costa has been appointed as President of Yamana Gold Inc. He served as Chief Operating Officer of Yamana Gold Inc. Mr. Costa has held the position of chief operating officer and most senior operations officer prior to that since early 2006. Prior to joining Yamana, he was in operational and management functions for over 17 years at Rio Tinto and Companhia Vale do Rio Doce (Vale). He has over 28 years of mining experience in South America.

Jones, Jacqueline Ms. Jacqueline Jones serves as Senior Vice President, Legal, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Yamana Gold Inc. Ms. Jones has been a lawyer for over 20 years and joined Yamana as General Counsel in May 2005, became a Vice President in December 2006 and a Senior Vice President in July 2008. Prior to joining Yamana, Ms. Jones held the position of Counsel – Securities at Nortel Networks from July 1999 to January 2005. Prior to that time, Ms. Jones articled, and was an associate, at the law firm Smith, Lyons from 1993 to 1999 where she worked in the securities law department. Ms. Jones holds a Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College and a Juris Doctorate from Columbia University School of Law. McKnight, Greg Mr. Greg McKnight serves as Senior Vice President, Business Development of Yamana Gold Inc. Mr. McKnight joined Yamana as Vice President, Business Development in February 2004. Mr. McKnight has approximately 17 years of investment banking and corporate experience during which he has focused almost entirely on the mining sector. Prior to joining Yamana, Mr. McKnight was a director in the investment banking division of Canaccord Capital Corporation, a position he held since December 2001. From 1997 through 2001, Mr. McKnight held the position of Director, Investment Banking Mining at TD Securities Inc. and HSBC Securities Inc. During the year prior to joining Yamana, Mr. McKnight was instrumental in his capacity as an investment banker in structuring the transaction and raising the equity for Yamana that enabled the Company to complete the acquisition of substantially all of the Brazilian mining assets that it currently owns. Mr. McKnight holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto and a Masters of Business Administration from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.
Cintra, Evandro Mr. Evandro Cintra serves as Senior Vice President, Technical Services of Yamana Gold Inc. Mr. Cintra has more than 20 years of exploration and ore reserves experience in the gold mining industry and is currently Senior Vice President, Technical Services of Yamana. Prior to assuming this position, he was Exploration Director and Vice President, Exploration of Yamana from 2003 to October of 2007. From 1986 to 2003 he worked for Mineração Santa Elina and Echo Bay Mines in exploration, operation and ore reserves management. Mr. Cintra holds a PHD in Geology and a title of Professional Geoscientist in accordance with the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario.
Marud, Darcy Mr. Darcy Marud serves as Senior Vice President, Exploration of Yamana Gold Inc. Mr. Marud joined Yamana as Senior Vice President, Exploration in October 2007. Prior to that, he held the position of Vice-President of Exploration for Meridian Gold Inc. from 2004, and the position of exploration manager for South America from 1997. Mr. Marud has a combined 21 years of experience as a gold exploration geologist in the Americas with companies such as Homestake Mining Company, FMC Gold Company and Meridian Gold Inc.
Munhoz, Nelson Mr. Nelson Munhoz serves as Vice President, Operations, Brazil of Yamana Gold Inc. Mr. Munhoz joined Yamana in February 2008, with over 30 years experience in the mining industry. Prior to assuming his position of Vice President, Operations, Brazil of Yamana, he worked with Rio Tinto Brasil since 1987 where he assumed several positions. He was Project Manager for Corumba Iron Mine Expansion from January 2005 to January 2008. He worked as Metallurgical Manager and subsequently as General Manager for Serra da Fortaleza Nickel Mine from 1996 to 2004. He also had the position of Metallurgical Manager in Rio Paracatu Mineracao from 1987 to 1996. Mr. Munhoz holds a Bachelor of Mining Engineer from Sao Paulo University and a MBA from Fundacao Getulio Vargas.
Tsakos, Sofia Ms. Sofia Tsakos serves as Vice President, Corporate Counsel of Yamana Gold Inc. Ms. Tsakos joined Yamana in December 2007 and serves in her current position since then. Prior to joining Yamana, Ms. Tsakos was a partner practicing securities law at Cassels Brock & Blackwell LLP. Between the years 2001 and 2006 Ms. Tsakos was an associate at Goodman and Carr LLP. Ms. Tsakos holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Toronto in Economics and Political Science, a Masters in Business Administration with a focus in Finance from the University of Windsor and a Bachelor of Law also from the University of Windsor.
Soares, Betty Ms. Betty Soares serves as Vice President, Corporate Controller of Yamana Gold Inc. Ms. Soares has been with the Company since January 2004 as Corporate Controller and was appointed Vice President and Corporate Controller in 2008. Prior to joining Yamana, she worked in the area of audit and tax at DMCT LLP (currently Collins Barrow Chartered Accountants) and BDO Dunwoody. Ms. Soares holds an Honours Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University. Peake, Jodi Ms. Jodi Peake serves as Vice President, Corporate Communications & Investor Relations of Yamana Gold Inc. Ms. Peake joined Yamana in May 2007 with over 14 years of investor relations and corporate communications experience. Prior to joining Yamana, Ms. Peake was Vice President, Investor Relations for Tiberon Minerals Ltd. Ms. Peake has also held senior investor relations and communications roles in the mining, oil and gas, financial services and pharmaceutical industries. Portugal, Arao Mr. Arao Portugal serves as Vice President, Country Manager, Brazil of Yamana Gold Inc. Mr. Portugal has many years of management experience in the mining industry and is currently Vice President, Country Manager, Brazil of Yamana. Martins, Ana Ms. Ana Lucia Martins serves as Vice President, Safety, Health, Environment and Communities Relations of Yamana Gold Inc. Ms. Martins has 18 years of environmental management experience in the gold mining industry. Prior to assuming the current position, she was SHEC Director of Yamana from 2006 to July of 2007 and Environmental Manager of Yamana from to 2003 to 2005. From 1994 to 2003 worked for Mineracao Santa Elina and Echo Bay Mines in environmental management, licensing, environmental impact studies, due diligences, reclamation projects, feasibility studies and acid rock drainage tests. Ms. Martins completed an Agricultural Engineering degree in Universidade de Sao Paulo, Brazil, with expertise in environment. During professional life gained experience visiting mines in Brazil, Canada, USA, Argentina, Chile and Honduras.
Palma, Ricardo Mr. Ricardo Palma serves as Vice President, Country Manager, Chile of Yamana Gold Inc. Mr. Palma joined Yamana as Vice President, Country Manager, Chile in September of 2008 with over 33 years of experience in the mining industry. He has worked in all levels of operations, design, planning, construction and start of up new mines with specific experiences in copper, molybdenum, gold and non metallic mines. Prior to joining Yamana, he worked with Barrick Gold Corporation as Operation Manager of the Pascua Lama Project and General Manager of the Veladero Mine. Mr. Palma worked at the Collahuasi mine in Chile for over nine years since start up, first as Operational Vice- President and later Development Vice President. Prior to he gained experience with Homestake, CODELCO and Cemento Melon (Underground limestone mine for Blue Circle). Mr. Palma holds a Ms.Sc in Rock Mechanics from Columbia University in New York and a Mining Engineer degree from Universidad de Chile Santiago.
Vera, Hernan Mr. Hernan Vera serves as Vice President, Country Manger, Argentina of Yamana Gold Inc. Mr. Vera has more than 23 years of experience in the mining industry, having experience working in Argentina, the United States and in the African Region. He joined Yamana in October of 2007 and is currently Vice President, Country Manager, Argentina. His experiences include holding the position of Director and General Manager of Barrick Veladero Gold Company. Prior to this, Mr. Vera occupied the position of South America Manager for Meridian Gold Company. He has also worked as Mining Project Corporate Manager in Anglogold Ashanti East and West Africa Region and previously as the Cerro Vanguardia gold mine (AngloGold Ashanti) General Manager. Mr. Vera has completed a MBA at the Catholic University of Buenos Aires.
LeBlanc, Jason Mr. Jason LeBlanc serves as Treasurer of Yamana Gold Inc. Mr. LeBlanc has over ten years research-based and financial experience in the mining industry and is currently Treasurer of Yamana. He has been with Yamana since January 2006. Previously, he was a mining analyst covering the base metal and bulk commodities industries with Dominion Bond Rating Service. Mr. LeBlanc has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Windsor and also holds a Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Mars, Patrick Mr. Patrick J. Mars has been appointed as Lead Director of Yamana Gold Inc. He served as Director of Yamana Gold Inc. Mr. Mars also served as a director of the Company between February 7, 1995 and February 18, 1999. Mr. Mars is currently the President of P.J. Mars Investments Limited, a private investment company, the Chairman of SAGE Gold Inc. (since December 2003) and Aura Minerals Inc. (since March 2008), and also works as a mining consultant and serves as a director of several resource companies, including Endeavour Financial Corporation, SAGE Gold Inc., Carpathian Gold Inc., Aura Minerals Inc. and Selwyn Resources Ltd. During the period of January 1999 to May 2001, Mr. Mars was Chairman and director of First Marathon Securities (UK) Ltd. prior to such company being acquired by National Bank of Canada, after which time Mr. Mars was director of NBC Financial (UK). Mr. Mars is a Chartered Financial Analyst with over 30 years experience in the investment industry in Canada and the United Kingdom.
Silva, Antenor Mr. Antenor F. Silva, Jr. is Director of Yamana Gold Inc since July 31, 2003. He served as President of Yamana Gold Inc. Mr. Silva joined Yamana as Chief Operating Officer in July 2003, and became President of Yamana in May 2007. Mr. Silva has approximately 40 years of experience in the mining and chemical industries, and has provided technical consultation and training in development, construction, start-up, operation, strategic planning and productivity for various mining, hydropower and industrial companies. During this time, Mr. Silva has been instrumental in researching and developing metallurgical and engineering processes for mill plants in mining projects in Brazil, and implementing metallurgical processes which contributed to the development of mines in Tunisia, Africa and Togo, Africa. Mr. Silva has gained significant experience in senior management at various engineering companies and mining, petroleum and chemical companies. Prior to joining Yamana, Mr. Silva acted as Chief Operating Officer of Santa Elina Mines Corporation. Mr. Silva has also served as a director on the boards of several engineering, mining and aluminium extrusion companies. Mr. Silva holds a Bachelor of Science degree in in Mining and Metallurgical Engineering from the Universidade do Estado de Sao Paulo in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Mr. Silva also currently sits on the board of Vaaldiam Resources Ltd.
Mesquita Filho, Juvenal Mr. Juvenal Mesquita Filho serves as Director of Yamana Gold Inc since July 31, 2003. Mr. Mesquita Filho has been a member of the board of Yamana since July 2003. Mr. Mesquita Filho previously served as President of Mineracao Santa Elina S/A, in Brazil, as well as a director of Santa Elina Mines Corporation since September 1994. He has over 30 years’ experience in the mining industry. Mr. Mesquita resigned as a director effective October 16, 2007 to accommodate the appointment of Meridian nominees to the Board following the Company’s acquisition of Meridian, and he was re-elected following an increase to the size of the Board effective May 14, 2008.
Titaro, Dino Mr. Dino Titaro serves as Director of Yamana Gold Inc since August 5, 2005. Mr. Titaro is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer of Carpathian Gold Inc., a public mineral exploration company listed on the TSX. From 1986 to 2003, Mr. Titaro was the President and Chief Executive Officer of A.C.A. Howe International Limited, a geological and mining consulting firm. Mr. Titaro is also a director of each of Plata Peru Resources Inc. listed on the TSX Venture Exchange and Richview Resources Inc. listed on the TSX.
Lees, Nigel Mr. Nigel Lees serves as Director of Yamana Gold Inc since June 16, 2005. Mr. Lees has over 25 years experience in the investment banking industry in Canada and the United Kingdom. He is currently the President of C.N. Lees Investments Limited, a private investment and consulting company, and President and Chief Executive Officer of SAGE Gold Inc., a public precious metals exploration company. Mr. Lees is also a director of Hawk Uranium Inc., a TSX Venture Exchangelisted mineral exploration company.
Begeman, John Mr. John Begeman serves as Director of Yamana Gold Inc since May 2, 2007. Mr. Begeman is a mining engineer with over 30 years of mining experience. He is currently a director of Premier Goldmines Limited, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Avion Resources Corp. and Valencia Ventures Inc. He has previously served as Chief Operating Officer of Zinifex Canada Inc. and Vice President, Western Operations and Officer of Goldcorp Inc. Prior to his position as Vice President at Goldcorp, Mr. Begeman held positions, as Mine Superintendent, Mine Manager, and General Manager of the Wharf Resources and Golden Reward Mines in the environmentally sensitive Black Hills area of South Dakota. In his capacity as Vice President, Mr. Begeman was also responsible for Goldcorp’s industrial minerals division, Saskatchewan Minerals, a large natural sodium sulphate producer, located in South-western Saskatchewan. Horn, Robert Mr. Robert Horn serves as Director of Yamana Gold Inc since October 16, 2007. Mr. Horn previously served as a Vice President, Exploration for Inco Limited, FMC Gold Company and BP Canada and has served as a director for several mining companies. He has over 40 years of experience in the mining industry. He received his B.Sc. (Honours) in Geology at the University of Exeter and his M.Sc. in Geology at University College London.
Graff, Richard Mr. Richard Graff serves as Director of Yamana Gold Inc since October 16, 2007. Mr. Graff is a retired partner from PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP where he served as the audit leader in the United States for the mining industry. Since his retirement, Mr. Graff has been a consultant to the mining industry and, most recently, has served as a member of a Financial Accounting Standards Board task force for establishing accounting and financial reporting guidance in the mining industry. He received his undergraduate degree in Economics from Boston College and his post-graduate degree in Accounting from Northeastern University. He currently serves on the board of directors and acts as Chairman of the Audit Committee of each of Dynamic Materials Corporation and Anatolia Minerals Development Limited.
Renzoni, Carl Mr. Carl Renzoni serves as Director of Yamana Gold Inc since October 16, 2007. Mr. Renzoni retired from BMO Nesbitt Burns in 2001, where he was employed since 1969 and most recently served as a Managing Director. He brings over 30 years’ experience in the securities business specializing in the mining industry. Mr. Renzoni holds an Honors B.Sc. (Geology) degree from Queen’s University. Mr. Renzoni is currently a director of Copper Mountain Mining Corp. and he previously served on the boards of International Molybdenum Ltd., Peru Copper Inc. and Meridian Gold Inc. Mr. Renzoni also served on the Audit Committee of Meridian Gold Inc.
Davidson, Alexander Mr. Alex J. Davidson is Director of Yamana Gold Inc. Mr. Davidson was the executive vice president of exploration and corporate development at Barrick where he has been for over 16 years. He has over 25 years of international mining company experience and has been recognized for his contribution to the industry. Mr. Davidson is a recipient of the A.O. Dufresne Award by the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum in 2005 and was named Prospector of the Year by the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada. He has received his Bachelor of Science and his Master of Science in Economic Geology from McGill University.
