Name Description

Jim Ovia

Mr. Jim Ovia, CON, has served as Chairman of the Board of Zenith Bank Plc since June 12, 2014. He was Chief Executive Officer, Managing Director, Executive Director of the Company until July 31, 2010. He co-founded Zenith Bank plc. Mr. Ovia started his career at Barclays Bank, Nigeria. He joined International Merchant Bank Plc as Financial Analyst in 1980, and became Manager in 1987. He was appointed as Head of Corporate Finance at Merchant Bank of Africa in 1988. He had previously received the Zik Award for Professional Leadership in April 1999. He has been Member of the Governing Council of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission, Lagos State University and Honorary International Investors Council. Additionally, Mr. Ovia has been Member of the Board of Trustees of the Redeemer's University for All Nations and Proprietor of University of Information and Communication Technology. He served on the Board of America International School, Lagos, and held a leadership role as President of Nigeria Internet Group between 2001 and 2003. He is Founder of Mankind United to Support Total Education, a philanthropic organization. Mr. Ovia received a BSc degree in Business Administration from Southern University in 1977 and an MBA degree from University of Louisiana in 1979. He attended Harvard Business School Executive Management Program.

Peter Amangbo

Mr. Peter Olisamedua Amangbo has served as Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Executive Director of Zenith Bank Plc since June 12, 2014. He served as Executive Director of the Company until June 12, 2014. He is Member of the Staff matters, finance and general purpose committee and the Board risk and audit committee at the Company. He trained with PriceWaterhouseCoopers, and qualified as Chartered Accountant before joining the Company in 1993. He was Head of Financial Control and Strategic Planning before moving on to head the Company's Ikoyi branch. His roles at the Company included Head of Corporate and Retail Banking Group and Group of Zonal Head in Lagos. He has banking industry experience, and has attended several offshore courses, such as the Advanced Management Program at INSEAD, France. He graduated from the University of Benin with a Bachelors of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 1988 and a Masters degree in Business Administration in 1995.

Stanley Amuchie

Mr. Stanley Amuchie has served as Chief Financial Officer of Zenith Bank Plc since August 2013. He holds a degree in Industrial Chemistry from the University of Benin, where he was a University Scholar during his years of study, and graduated in 1993. He is a Fellow (FCA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and an Honorary Senior Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (HCIB). He has about two decades post graduation experience spanning Quality Control, Audit, Consulting and Banking, 18 of which have been in the Financial Services industry. He started his financial services career in the Financial Sector of the Audit and Business Advisory Group of the Lagos Office of Arthur Andersen (now KPMG Professional Services) in 1995, where he worked on various Audit and Business advisory assignments for various Banks and Financial Services Operators in Nigeria and other West African Countries. He joined the Financial Control and Strategic Planning Department of Zenith Bank PLC in 2000 and has been the Financial Controller of the Zenith Bank Group since 2008. He also coordinated the Bank's Foreign Subsidiaries' Operations.

Francis Chukwunyem

Mr. Francis Chukwunyem serves as Chief Information Officer, General Manager of Zenith Bank Plc. He holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from the University of Benin (1991), and a Masters degree in Computer Science (1998) from the University of Lagos. He has several Certifications in different areas of Information technology. He was the Pioneer Group Head of the Payment Cards Dept. He was also the Group Head of E-Business Department.

Marvis Iboje

Mr. Marvis Kofi Iboje serves as Chief Compliance Officer Zenith Bank Plc. He was formerly the head of Up-Country Credit Department and also coordinated the Foreign Subsidiaries Department of the bank. Mr. Kofi Iboje joined the services of the bank in September, 1992 and has served in various capacities from Treasury Department to Corporate Banking and Branch Manager Retail Oba Akran as well as Eric Moore branch of the bank. He also served as the immediate past MD/CEO of Zenith Bank (Gambia) Limited. Mr. Iboje holds a Masters Degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Benin, Benin City, Edo State and is a fellow, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA).

Felix Egbon

Mr. Felix Egbon is Chief Risk Officer, Deputy General Manager, Group Head, Risk Management of Zenith Bank Plc. Mr. Egbon joined the services of the bank in May 2006 with responsibility for branch coordination and subsequently Internal Control and Audit and was responsible for review and enforcement of the bank’s procedures, controls and policies in branches bank wide. He is a fellow, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), honorary member, Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria and Senior member, Risk Management Association of Nigeria. Prior to his engagement with the Company, he had worked with Pricewaterhouse Cooppers as Audit Senior, Auditing and Business Advisory Services; United Bank for Africa Plc as the Principal Manager in charge of branch coordination, internal control and Audit responsible for review and enforcement of procedures, controls and policies in the bank branches.

Michael Otu

Mr. Michael Osilama Otu has served as Company Secretary/Legal Advisor of Zenith Bank Plc since February 2002. He joined the Company on July 14, 1997. He graduated Second Class Honors (Upper Division) in Law in 1992 from the then Bendel (Edo) State and Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, and attended the Nigerian Law School, Lagos State between 1992 and 1993. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1993 with Second Class Honors (Upper Division). He obtained a Master’s Degree in Law (LL.M) from the University of Lagos Akoka, Lagos State in 1996. His professional Banking experience spans over two decades beginning in 1993 when he was employed as a Legal Officer in Crystal Bank of Africa Limited (now UBA Plc). He also worked as a General Counsel and was Deputy Head of Chambers in Vincent Omegba & Co. (Legal Practitioners). He is a member of various professional bodies including the Nigeria Bar Association (N.B.A); Nigerian Society of International Law and the International Bar Association; Honorary, Senior member, Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (HCIB) and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb). He is a Resource Person for the Financial Institutions Training Centre (FITC) and the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) amongst others.

Ebenezer Onyeagwu

Mr. Ebenezer N. Onyeagwu is Deputy Managing Director, Executive Director of Zenith Bank Plc. Until April 24, 2013, he was General Manager and Group Zonal Head - Ikeja of the Company. He commenced his banking career in January 1991, and has experience in branch management. He is an Alumnus of Lagos Business School and University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School. He also obtained a Higher National Diploma certificate in Accounting in 1987, and a Masters degree in Business Administration. He is Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accounts of Nigeria. He is Member of the Board credit committee and the Board risk and audit committee at the Company.

Adaora Umeoji

Ms. Adaora Remy Umeoji is Deputy Managing Director, Executive Director of Zenith Bank Plc. She previously served as Group Regional Director - Abuja Zone of Zenith Bank Plc until October 9, 2012. She is Member of the Staff matters, finance and general purpose committee at the Company. She has been Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management and also Member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Nigeria (ICPAN). She has experience spanning over several years of covering various departments of the Bank ranging from Customer Service, Treasury and Credit and Marketing. She has attended a number of courses, including an Executive Education Program on Strategic Thinking and Management for Competitive Advantage at Wharton Business School in 2002. She also attended Harvard Business School Executive Education (OPM) in 2004. She holds a Bachelors degree in Sociology from the University of Jos and an MBA degree from University of Calabar.

Nonye Ayeni

Ms. Nonye Ayeni serves as General Manager of Zenith Bank Plc. She is currently a Group Head with responsibilities for Treasury, Foreign Exchange and Correspondent Banking. She also has responsibility for supervising some branches in the Lagos area. She joined the Company in 1990 from Nigeria International Bank Limited as a staff member. She worked in the Treasury and Marketing Department before moving on to branch management. She was previously in charge of the Company's Head Office operations, and Idumota and Allen Branches. She received a Bachelors degree in Microbiology from the University of Ife in 1986, and a MBA from the University of Lagos. She also attended Advanced Management Program at INSEAD, France.

Temitope Fasoranti

Dr. Temitope (Tope) Fasoranti serves as General Manager of Zenith Bank Plc. He is currently the Group Zonal Head Ikeja Zone overseeing 13 branches having worked in Treasury and Corporate Finance in First Bank, and Zenith bank's Corporate Banking ,Oil & Gas and Apapa Groups. He has spent over 22 years in the Nigerian Banking Industry and holds a Bachelors degree in Economics from the Obafemi Awolowo University (1988), a Masters degree in Economics (1991) and a PhD in Economics. He has attended several local and international courses and programs including Creating and Leading High Performance Teams (The Wharton School, Pennsylvania, USA), and Developing Strategy for Value Creation (London Business School).

Adobi Nwapa

Ms. Adobi Stella Nwapa serves as General Manager of Zenith Bank Plc. She is currently a Group Zonal Head with management and supervisory responsibilities. She started her banking career with the then Co-operative and Commerce Bank in 1988. She joined the Company as staff member, and has banking experience, which include Customer Relations, Consumer Banking, Treasury and Branch Management roles. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Imo State University in 1985. She attended several executive, leadership and management programs at Harvard Business School, London Business School and Lagos Business School.

Olusola Oladipo

Mr. Olusola (Sola) Oladipo has served as Executive Director of Zenith Bank Plc since March 31, 2014. Prior to his appointment, he was General Manager of the Group Zonal Head in charge of Apapa Zone of the Bank. He joined the Company in 1995, having previously worked in First City Monument Bank and Prime Merchant Bank Limited. He is Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers of Nigeria and Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria. He holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Lagos, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Obafemi Awolowo University. He is Member of the Board credit committee at the Company.

Ahmed Umar Shuaib

Mr. Ahmed Umar Shuaib is Executive Director of the Company. He was the General Manager in charge of Abuja Zone.

Sunday Ilegar

Mr. Sunday Ighiezemhe Ilegar serves as Chief Inspector of Zenith Bank Plc. He is currently the Group Zonal Head, Anambra/Delta Zone. He worked with Afro Continental (Nig.) Limited, Allstates Trust Bank before joining the Company in 1997. He served in Internal Control and Audit, Operations, Credit and Marketing and Branch Management departments of the Company. He obtained a Higher National Diploma in Accounting from Yaba College of Technology, Yaba in 1989 and an MBA degree from Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma in 2001. He became Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria in 1992. He is also Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, and attended several Advanced Management Courses, including Lagos Business School.

Marcel Okeke

Mr. Marcel Okeke serves as Chief Economist, Assistant General Manager of Zenith Bank Plc. Before joining the Company, he has had a multi-sector exposure covering the oil and gas industry, media and marketing communications consultancy. In the media, Mr. Okeke worked with The Guardian, The Punch, Concord and Champion Newspapers. He was at a point the Editor of the Business Concord Newspaper, and Business Editor of The Punch. Mr. Okeke has also worked as the Divisional Head, Information Management and Media with The Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC), Eastern Division, Port-Harcourt. He was also Team Leader at the African Basic Economy (Consultancy), Lagos. Prior to his being engaged by the Company, Mr. Okeke was a full time Member of the Editorial Board and In-House Economist of The Guardian Newspapers, Lagos, where he led editorial discourses and analyses on topical local and global economic issues as leader-writer. He equally maintained a weekly column on the economy (every Tuesday). He carried this track record to the bank, where he has been Editor of the Bank’s upscale journal, Zenith Economic Quarterly (since 2005), in addition to other on-line publications. Mr. Okeke holds a B. Sc (Honors) degree in Economics from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN); a Master of Business Administration (MBA) (Finance) as well as a specialist certificate in Financial Analysis from the Centre for Foreign Journalists, Reston, Virginia, USA. He is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management; Senior member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria; Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE), among others.

Oyewusi Ibidapo-Obe

Prof. Oyewusi (Oye) Ibidapo-Obe, OFR, serves as Director of Zenith Bank Plc. A Distinguished Professor of Systems Engineering and former Vice Chancellor (2000-2007) of the University of Lagos and former Vice Chancellor of the new Federal University Ndufu Alike Ikwo Ebonyi State Nigeria (2011 -2016); he was the President of the Nigerian Academy of Science from 2009-2013. He attended the University of Lagos from 1968-1971. He was awarded a Bachelor of Science [B.Sc. (Hon)] degree in Mathematics in the 1st Class Division by the University of Lagos, Nigeria in 1971; a Master of Mathematics (M. Maths) degree in Applied Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science in 1973 and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Civil Engineering with specialization in Applied Mechanics/Systems in 1976 both from the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. He attended the Round Table at Oxford University in 2003 and also the 2007 MIT Research and Development Conference and Innovations for Economic Development Course as well as Harvard University of Kennedy School of Government in 2013. He was also a Commonwealth Scholar (Canada) (1972-1976); an NSERC/CIDA (Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council/Canadian International Development Agency (1977-1980) and a Senior Fulbright Research Scholar (1980-1981). He served the University of Lagos from October 1, 1972 as a Graduate Assistant through 1976 as Lecturer Grade II till 1983 as Professor. He was the Chairman of the Committee of Vice Chancellors of Nigerian Universities. He was awarded the Best Vice Chancellor’s Prize (2004, 2005) for the Nigerian University System (NUS). He was conferred with the national honor of the Officer of the Federal Republic (OFR) by the Nigerian Government in 2004. He serves as an honorary International Scholar-in-Residence at the Pennsylvania State University and a Visiting Research Professor at Texas Southern University (2007 - present) both in the United States. He has similar recognitions with Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, Germany.

Gabriel Ukpeh

Mr. Gabriel Ita Asuquo Ukpeh serves as Director of Zenith Bank Plc. Mr. Ukpeh is an internationally acclaimed consultant in business strategy, risk management, process re-engineering and financial services, who was, until recently, a Senior Partner and Risk Quality Leader for Africa at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria with over thirty five (35) years experience in Financial Audit and Reporting, as well as a member of the Institute of Taxation of Nigeria. A graduate of accounting, he holds Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from the University of Warwick, Coventry, United Kingdom. He obtained a Master of Science (M. Sc) Degree in Contemporary Accounting from the Leeds Metropolitan University, UK in 2009. He worked with PwC, an International Business auditing and consulting firm for over thirty five (35) years, and as a Partner for over 20 years led, directed, planned and managed the audit, accounting, and consulting assignments for numerous financial institutions, multinationals and local companies, including most major banks in Nigeria.

Babatunde Adejuwon

Mr. Babatunde Adeniyi Adejuwon has served as Non-Executive Director of Zenith Bank Plc since May 1, 2004. He is Lawyer and Managing Partner of the law firm Babs Adejuwon & Company. He is Solicitor and Advocate of Supreme Court of Nigeria. He has experience at the Nigerian Bar, and was appointed as Notary Public in 1992 by the Supreme Court of Nigeria. He has been Member of Nigeria Bar Association, the Nigerian-British Chamber of Commerce, the Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce, the Nigerian-German Business Council, the Nigerian-Netherlands Chamber of Commerce and the Nigerian-Japan Association. He received an LLB degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in 1980, and was called to the Bar in 1981. He is Member of the Board credit committee and Chairman of the Board risk and audit committee at the Company.

Jeffrey Efeyini

Mr. Jeffrey Efeyini has served as Non-Executive Director of Zenith Bank Plc since June 23, 2010. He is Chairman of the Board credit committee and Member of the Board risk and audit committee at the Company. Mr. Efeyini is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, United Kingdom. He holds a Masters degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science as well as an MBA from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. He recently retired as the Managing Director of Melvale Group, United Kingdom (a diversified international trade finance and foreign direct investment consulting organization). From 2003 to 2009, he was an Independent Director with Union Bank UK Plc, London. He was also a Director and later Chairman of Britain Nigeria Business Council, London. He started his professional banking career with Barclays Bank International, United Kingdom, later Union Bank of Nigeria and rose to the position of the pioneer Chief Executive/General Manager, Union Bank of Nigeria Plc, London.

Chukuka Enwemeka

Prof. Chukuka S. Enwemeka has served as Non-Executive Director of Zenith Bank Plc since June 23, 2010. He is a Professor and Provost, San Diego State University, California. Prior to his appointment, he was Dean College of Health Sciences, University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, United States of America. He was also Professor and Dean, School of Health Professions, New York Institute of Technology, Old Westbury, New York, United States of America. He was also Professor and Chairman, University of Kansas (Medical Center), Kansas City, United States of America as well as Associate Professor of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation, University of Miami, School of Medicine, Miami, Florida, United States of America. He graduated and obtained his first degree in 1978 from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. He obtained his Masters degree in 1983 from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, United States of America and thereafter proceeded to the New York University, New York, United States of America where he bagged his Ph.D. in 1985. He is Member of the Staff matters, finance and general purpose committee, Board risk and audit committee and Board governance, nominations and remuneration committee at the Company.

Steven Omojafor

Sir Steven Bamidele (Steve) Omojafor has served as Non-Executive Director of Zenith Bank Plc since June 16, 2014. Prior to that, he served as Chairman of the Board of the Company between June 23, 2010 and June 16, 2014, and as Non-Executive Director of the Company between May 1, 2004 and June 23, 2010. He is Member of the Staff matters, finance and general purpose committee and Chairman of the Board governance, nominations and remuneration committee at the Company. He has been Executive Chairman of STB-MC CANN, Lagos. He was Sub-Editor at Daily Times, Group Head Client Service of Lintas Limited and Client Service Director of Rosabel Advertising. He has been on the Board of several companies, and was former President of Advertising Practitioners of Nigeria (AAPN) and Vice President of IAA, Nigerian Chapter. He holds a Bachelors degree in Mass Communication from University of Lagos, and is a Fellow of the AAPN, as well as Member of the Nigerian Institute of Marketing.

Baba Tela

Alhaji Baba Tela has served as Independent Non-Executive Director of Zenith Bank Plc since 2009. He served as Non-Executive Director of the Company between July 17, 2007 and 2009. He was Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria between 2002 and 2003, and was further re-elected for a second tenure from 2003 to 2007. He commenced his working career as Financial Analyst with Masenterp Nigeria Ltd. In 1983, and worked in various capacities and organizations until he became Special Assistant to the Presidency on economic matters in 2001, a position he held until his election as Senator in 2002. At the Senate, he served on several committees, including Water Resources, Cooperation and Integration in Africa and NEPAD. He also served as Director on the Boards of Governing Council of the Federal University of Technology, Mina and Coats Brothers (W.A.) Limited, among others. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1982. He is Member of the Board credit committee and the Board governance, nominations and remuneration committee and Chairman of the Staff matters, finance and general purpose committee at the Company.
