Abengoa SA is a Spain-based company engaged in the provision of technological solutions for the engineering sector. The Company is structured into three main business divisions. The Industrial Engineering and Construction division comprises the execution of turnkey generation power station projects, hydraulic infrastructures and electric transmission lines. The Concession-type Infrastructure division includes the operation of desalinization and generation power plants, such as solar, cogeneration and wind. The Industrial Production comprises the activities related to the production of biofuels, waste treatment and the development of solar thermal technology. As of December 31, 2011, the Company owned such subsidiaries as Abengoa Bioenergia SA, Abengoa Solar SA, Simosa IT SA and Siema Technologies SL, among others. In addition, Inversion Corporativa IC SA was the Company’s major shareholder with 49.9% of its interest. In May, 2013, the Company sold its subsidiary, Bargoa.
