LaCrosse Footwear, Inc. (LaCrosse) is a developer and marketer of footwear for work and outdoor users. The Company’s Danner and LaCrosse brands are distributed through a network of specialty retailers and distributors, as well as its owned retail channels, and internationally through its subsidiary, LaCrosse Europe ApS, and through distributors and retailers in Asia, Europe and Canada. LaCrosse’s work customers include people in law enforcement, transportation, mining, oil and gas, military services and other occupations. Outdoor customers include people in hunting, hiking and other outdoor recreational activities. On July 21, 2008, the Company announced the formation of LaCrosse Europe ApS, a new subsidiary based in Denmark. In June 2009, the Company completed the acquisition of certain assets of Environmentally Neutral Design Outdoor, Inc., a performance footwear company.

The Company’s product offerings for the work and outdoor markets include brands, such as Danner and LaCrosse. Danner products consist of work and outdoor boots with features, including its stitch-down manufacturing process. Danner’s product offerings include product categories, such as uniform, hunting, work, hiking and accessories. The LaCrosse brand has a product line, including rubber and leather footwear, as well as a line of rainwear and protective clothing. LaCrosse’s product offerings include product categories, such as hunting, work, cold weather and apparel and accessories.

During the year ended December 31, 2008, LaCrosse offered 487 styles of footwear and protective clothing. The Company operates a retail outlet store at the factory in Portland, Oregon. The factory outlet store sells merchandise, factory seconds, and products for both DANNER and LACROSSE brands. International sales are primarily derived through its Japanese and Canadian distribution and dealer networks, as well as its subsidiary LaCrosse Europe ApS.
