Eaton Vance Credit Opportunities Fund (the Fund) is a diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Fund's primary investment objective is to provide a high level of current income. The Fund, as a secondary objective, also seeks capital appreciation. The Fund invests in various credit-related investments, including, but not limited to, publicly and privately issued debt securities, bank loans and up to 10% in registered investment companies. The Fund's investments include interests in senior floating-rate loans. The Fund will invest at least 80% of its total assets in publicly and privately issued debt securities, and bank loans and loan participations, including senior secured, second lien secured and other types of secured and unsecured loan obligations.
The Fund invests in various industries, including business equipment and services, cable and satellite television, healthcare, automotive, chemical and plastics, leisure goods/activities/movies, oil and gas, food products, publishing, building and development, and telecommunications. The Fund’s investment advisor and administrator is Eaton Vance Management. The Fund may invest in Cash Management Portfolio, an affiliated investment company managed by Boston Management and Research (BMR), a wholly owned subsidiary of Eaton Vance Management. Investors Bank & Trust Company (IBT) serves as custodian of the Fund.
