Profile: Evergreen Multi-Sector Income Fund (ERC)

Evergreen Multi-Sector Income Fund, formerly Evergreen Managed Income Fund, is a diversified closed-end management investment company. The primary investment objective of the Fund is to seek a high level of current income. Its portfolio includes agency mortgage-backed collateralized mortgage obligations, agency mortgage-backed pass through securities, corporate bonds, corporate and government foreign bonds, the United States treasury obligations, Yankee obligations debt obligations and short-term investments.

Evergreen Multi-Sector Income Fund invests in various sectors, including consumer discretionary, consumer staples, energy, financials, healthcare, industrials, information technology, materials and telecommunication services. Evergreen Investment Management Company, LLC, an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Wachovia Corporation (Wachovia), serves as the investment advisor of the Fund. Tattersall Advisory Group, Inc., an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Wachovia, is the investment sub-advisor of the Fund.
