Reddy Ice Holdings, Inc. is a manufacturer and distributor of packaged ice in the United States. The Company serves variety of customers in 31 states and the District of Columbia under the Reddy Ice brand name. Its principal product is ice packaged in seven to 50 pound bags, which it sells to a diversified customer base, including supermarkets, mass merchants and convenience stores. During the year ended December 31, 2008, it sold approximately 1.8 million tons of ice. Its products are primarily sold throughout the southern United States (the Sun Belt). At March 6, 2009, the Company owned or operated 58 ice manufacturing facilities, 67 distribution centers and approximately 3,100 Ice Factories.

The Company produces ice in cube, half-moon, cylindrical and crushed forms, as well as block forms. Its primary ice product is cubed ice packaged in 10 pound bags, which it sells principally to convenience stores and supermarkets. It also sells small (seven pounds) and medium (16 to 20 pounds) bags of cubed ice and 10-pound block bags to the convenience stores and supermarkets. The Company sells cubed ice in assorted bag sizes ranging from 16 to 50 pounds to restaurants, bars, stadiums, vendors and caterers and block ice in 10-, 25- and 300-pound sizes to its commercial, agricultural and industrial customers. In addition, a portion of its products is sold through distributors who deliver ice to its customers on its behalf and who resell ice to their own customers.

In 2008, traditional ice manufacturing and Ice Factory revenues accounted for approximately 91% and 9% of its revenues, respectively. The Company has a customer base across all retail channels, including supermarkets, mass merchants and convenience stores, such as Albertson's, Circle-K, ExxonMobil, Food Lion, Kroger, 7-Eleven and Wal-Mart. Its largest customer, Wal-Mart and Sam's Club on a combined basis, accounted for approximately 12% of its revenue in 2008.
