Glatfelter P. H. Company, formerly P. H. Glatfelter Company, is a manufacturer of specialty papers and fiber-based engineered materials. The Company operates in three business units: Specialty Papers, Composite Fibers and Advanced Airlaid Materials. Specialty Papers with revenues from the sale of papers for carbonless and other forms, book publishing, envelopes, and engineered products. Composite Fibers primarily consists of single-serve coffee and tea filtration papers, metalized and self adhesive labeling papers, composite laminates used for decorative furniture and flooring applications, and technical specialties. Advanced Airlaid Materials with revenue from the sale of airlaid non-woven fabric-like materials used in feminine hygiene and adult incontinence products, cleaning pads and wipes, food pads, napkins, tablecloths, and baby wipes.
Glatfelter’s North America-based Specialty Papers business unit focuses on producing papers for markets, including carbonless and forms, book publishing papers, envelope and converting papers and engineered products. Carbonless and forms papers are manufactured for credit card receipts, multi-part forms, security papers and other end-user applications. Book publishing papers are manufactured for the production of hardbound books and other book publishing needs. Envelope and converting papers are manufactured for the direct mail market, shopping bags, and other converting applications. Engineered products are manufactured for digital imaging, transfer, casting, release, postal, playing card, FDA-compliant food and beverage applications, and other niche specialty applications. Specialty Papers’ technical engineered products include those designed for multiple end uses, such as papers for pressure-sensitive postage stamps, greeting and playing cards, conical cups, digital imaging applications and for release paper applications. The Specialty Papers business unit operates two integrated pulp and paper making facilities.
The Company competes with Appleton Papers, Fibria Celulose, Asia Pulp and Paper Co., Domtar Corp., North Pacific Paper (NORPAC), International Paper, Boise Inc., Evergreen Packaging, NewPage Corp. and Sappi Limited.
Glatfelter’s Composite Fibers business unit, based in Gernsbach, Germany, serves customers globally and focuses on products for markets, including food and beverage paper, metallized products, composite laminates papers and technical specialties. Food and beverage paper are used for tea bags and single serve coffee products. Metalized products are used in the labeling of beer bottles, inner liners, gift wrap, self-adhesive labels and other consumer products applications. Composite Laminates papers are used in production of decorative laminates, furniture and flooring applications. Technical Specialties is a diverse line of paper products used in batteries, medical masks and other engineered applications. The Composite Fibers Business Unit consists of the three paper making facilities (Germany, France and the United Kingdom), metalizing operations (Wales and Germany) and a pulp mill (the Philippines).

Advanced Airlaid Materials
Advanced Airlaid Materials is a supplier of absorbent cellulose-based airlaid non-woven materials used to manufacture a range of consumer and industrial products for end-use markets. These products include feminine hygiene, adult incontinence, home care such as specialty wipes, table top and towels and food pads. Advanced Airlaid Materials operates facilities in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada and Falkenhagen, Brandenburg, Germany.
