Industrial Services of America, Inc. (ISA), incorporated in October 1953, is engaged in ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal recycling and waste management services in the United States. The Company operates through two business segments: Recycling and Waste Services. The Recycling segment collects, purchases, processes and sells ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal to steel mini-mills, integrated steel makers, smelters, foundries, metal brokers and exporters. The Company purchases scrap metal primarily from industrial and commercial generators of steel, iron, aluminum, copper, stainless steel and other metals, as well as from scrap dealers and retail customers who deliver these materials directly to the Company's facilities. ISA processes scrap metal through its shredding, sorting, shearing, cutting and baling operations. The Alloys division specializes in the purchasing, processing and sale of stainless steel, nickel-based and high-temperature alloys.

The Company has operations in Louisville, Kentucky; Seymour, Indiana; New Albany, Indiana, and Dallas, Texas. Waste services segment provides waste disposal services, including contract negotiations with service providers, centralized billing, invoice auditing and centralized dispatching. Waste services also sells, leases, and services waste handling and recycling equipment.
