Dreyfus Strategic Municipals, Inc. (the Fund) is a diversified closed-end management investment company. The Fund's investment objective is to provide current income exempt from federal income tax. Dreyfus Strategic Municipals, Inc. invests at least 80% of its net assets in municipal obligations.

The Fund invests at least 50% of its net assets in municipal bonds considered investment-grade or the unrated equivalent as determined by The Dreyfus Corporation (Dreyfus) in the case of bonds, and in the two highest rating categories or the unrated equivalent as determined by Dreyfus in the case of short-term obligations having or deemed to have maturities of less than one year. Its portfolio includes both long-term and short-term municipal investments. The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation (BNY Mellon), serves as the fund’s investment advisor.
