NQ Mobile Inc., incorporated on March 14, 2007, is a holding company. The Company is principally engaged in the provision of mobile Internet services in the People's Republic of China and overseas markets. The Company's service portfolio includes mobile security, productivity and privacy protection, mobile games, as well as interest-based mobile community applications and advertising for the consumer market and an entire mobility solution set for the enterprise market. The Company operates two business segments: consumer and enterprise. The Company's consumer segment consists of mobile value added services, which includes mobile security services, mobile games and live mobile social video platform, advertising services and other services. The Company's enterprise segment consists of technology and software development services and hardware sales aggregated under enterprise mobility revenues.
The Company offers a range of products and services to consumers, enterprises, developers and advertisers in three categories: mobile value added services, advertising services and enterprise mobility products and services. The Company's products and services include Consumer Mobile Products, in which the Company offers a range of products and services in the area of mobile security, privacy, productivity, personalized cloud and family protection; Mobile Games and Entertainment, in which the Company publishes and operates both third-party and self-developed mobile games, and Enterprise mobility, in which the Company delivers a suite of mobility solutions to its clients by architecting mobility strategies, sourcing suitable devices, optimizing and deploying devices and applications and maintaining ongoing around the clock support.
Consumer Mobile Products
The Company's mobile security product NQ Mobile Security protects users' mobile voice and data from malicious software (such as viruses or malware), hacking, and phishing and privacy intrusion. The Company provides mobile malware scanning, Internet firewall, financial and social media account and communication protection, phone performance optimization and call and SMS blocking. Through NQ Mobile Easy Finder, the Company allows users to locate, track, lock, alarm, message and delete information from lost or stolen phones. The Company also provide backup and restore tools in both products. The Company's mobile privacy product NQ Mobile Vault ensures users' digital privacy through active control and on-device encryption of content and communication, including contacts, call logs, short message service (SMS), pictures and videos. The Company's mobile productivity products Android Booster, Mobile Manager, NQ Easy Battery Saver and Super Task Killer intelligently tune users' smart devices to achieve optimum performance. Call Blocker enhances users' time and relationship management, including screening incoming calls, filtering unwanted spam and SMS messages and protecting communication privacy. The Company's family protection product NQ Family Guardian allows parents to monitor and protect their children's smart device activities. NQ Family Guardian's suite of services for safety and monitoring consist of a mobile app that is downloaded and installed on the child's smart devices along with a Web-based control center that is accessible from any desktop or mobile browser. It also provides a cloud security and storage SDK that allows third-party developers to integrate the function to their own applications and products. Its consumer mobile products are offered directly under its various NQ brands, as well as white labeled and branded by its various channel partners who sell their own versions of these products.
Mobile Games and Entertainment
Through FL Mobile, the Company publishes and operates both third-party and self-developed mobile games. The Company operates 29 games on the iOS platform and 74 games on the Android platform as of December 31, 2014. Most of these games were developed by third parties but published and operated by FL Mobile. The Company's mobile games include To Attack Cities and Capture Territories, Snap Three Kingdoms, The Tank Storm, Fight Three Kingdom and Soul Sword. The Company acquires and maintains mobile gamers through its own interest-based community applications, including Mobile Phone User Bible or ShouJi Shi Yong Bao Dian and FL Mobile Game Community or the app stores FL Download and FL Game Center.
The Company expanded into the enterprise mobility market through its acquisition of NationSky. The Company's NQSky Mobile Device Management MDM product allows enterprise IT managers to integrate mobile devices with existing IT policies and directly manage devices, applications and contents through centralized administration cloud. Through Mobile Application Management, the Company provides enterprises with the services for provisioning and controlling access to internally-developed and commercially available mobile applications used in business settings. Through Mobile Content Management, the Company provides enterprises with services capable of storing and delivering content and services to mobile devices. It also offers discrete systems and enables secure mobile access to content anytime. NationSky provides its enterprise customers a complete BYOD platform solution encompassing hardware, software, carrier voice/data plan and ongoing support services. NationSky's Center Enterprise Server (CES) provides cross platform middleware for enterprise customers to enable data collection, storage, compression, encryption and analysis on mobile devices. Its enterprise security product NQ Enterprise Shield provides enterprise customers and their employees with the privacy and security features they need to protect their businesses by securing sensitive device data from mobile security threats and insecure mobile environments. NationSky provides vertical mobility solutions by extending existing IT functionalities to mobile devices for industries, such as banking, insurance and brokerage. Its Mobile Enterprise Application Platform is a development environment that provides tools and middleware for developing, testing, deploying and managing corporate software running on mobile devices.
In addition to the NationSky products and services, the Company acquired Trustek. Trustek primarily provides enterprise mobility solutions and services, including system management, application development, business intelligence and maintenance services.
