Profile: PowerShares Exchange-Traded Fund Trust: PowerShares Listed Private Equity Portfolio (PSP.P)

PowerShares Listed Private Equity Portfolio (the Fund) seeks investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield of an equity index called the Red Rocks Listed Private Equity Index (the Index). The Index consists of stocks and American depositary receipts (ADRs) of approximately 30 publicly listed private equity companies, including business development companies (BDC) and other financial institutions or vehicles whose principal business is to invest in and lend capital to privately held companies (collectively, listed private equity companies). Stocks in the Index will be selected by Red Rocks Capital Partners LLC (the Index Provider) pursuant to a selection methodology.

The Fund will normally invest at least 90% of its total assets in securities, including ADRs, which comprise the Index. The Index is adjusted quarterly, and the Fund, using an indexing investment approach, attempts to replicate the performance of the Index. The Fund generally will invest in the securities comprising the Index in proportion to their weightings in the Index. The Fund’s investment advisor is PowerShares Capital Management LLC.
