Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. is a Korea-based company engaged in the manufacturing of digital display devices. The Company produces plasma display panels (PDPs), color picture tubes (CPTs) and color display tubes (CDTs) used for televisions and monitors. It also provides rechargeable batteries used for cellular phones and laptop computers. It has three domestic factories in Suwon, Busan and Cheonan. The Company has six overseas offices in Taiwan, Japan, China and the United States. The Company spun-off of its mobile liquid crystal displays (LCDs), organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) and active-matrix OLEDs (AMOLEDs) division, effective September 5, 2008. The Company acquired a 50% stake in SB LiMotive Co., Ltd., on December 1, 2009.
