Air China Limited, along with its subsidiaries, is engaged in the provision of airline, airline-related services, including aircraft engineering services, air catering services and airport ground handling services, mainly in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau. It operates in four segments: the airline operations segment consists the provision of air passenger and air cargo services; the engineering services segment consists the provision of aircraft engineering services, including aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul services; the airport terminal services segment consists the provision of ground services, including check-in service, boarding service, premium class lounge service, ramp service, luggage handling service, loading and unloading services, cabin cleaning and transit services, and the others segment consists the provision of air catering services and other airline-related services. On January 3, 2008, the Company acquired additional 25% interest in the Air China Cargo.
