China Qinfa Group Limited, along with its subsidiaries, is principally engaged in the coal operation business involving purchase and sales, filtering, storage, blending, shipping and transportation of coal. The Company operates in two segments: coal operation segment, which includes purchase, filtering, storage, blending and sales of coal products to the Company’s external customers, and shipping transportation segment, which provides shipping transportation to inter-group companies and external customers through chartering out vessels under time charter and voyage charter. During the year ended December 31, 2008, the Company began its international coal business, in addition to the People’s of Republic (PRC) market.
