China COSCO Holdings Company Limited is principally engaged in the provision of container shipping services, dry bulk cargo shipping services, logistics services, port services and container leasing services. During the year ended December 31, 2008, the Company's container shipping segment transported 5,792,593 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) of cargos and dry bulk cargo shipping segment transported 293.1 million tons of cargos. As of December 31, 2008, the Company's container fleet had 141 container ships with transportation capacity of 496,317 TEUs, as well as dry bulk cargo fleet had 23 Capesize carriers, 68 Panamax ships, 77 Handymax carriers and 42 Handysize carriers.
