Sojitz Corporation is a Japan-based holding company engaged in the trading business. It has six business segments. The Machinery and Space Aeronautics segment's main products include automobiles and automobile parts, construction and industrial machinery,power-generating equipment, bearings, marine vessels and airplanes. The Energy and Metal Resources segment's main products include petroleum products, aluminum, coal, iron, zinc, bronze and tin. The Chemicals segment's chief products encompass organic and inorganic chemicals, fine chemicals, chemical fertilizers, cosmetics, industrial salt and plastic molding machines. The Construction and Timber segment is engaged in the leasing, sale and management of real estate. The Lifestyle segment's principal products cover textiles, marine products, foodstuffs and bedding products. The Others segment provides logistics, insurance and real estate leasing. On November 4, 2009, Sojitz Systems Corporation became its wholly owned subsidiary.
