Abercrombie & Fitch Co. (A&F), incorporated on June 26, 1996, through its subsidiaries, is a specialty retailer that operates stores and direct-to-consumer operations. Through these channels, the Company sells a broad array of products, including: casual sportswear apparel, including knit and woven shirts, graphic t-shirts, fleece, jeans and woven pants, shorts, sweaters, and outerwear; personal care products; and accessories for men, women and kids under the Abercrombie & Fitch, abercrombie kids, and Hollister brands. The Company also sells bras, underwear, personal care products, sleepwear and at-home products for girls through direct-to-consumer operations and Hollister stores under the Gilly Hicks brand. The Company operates in three segments: U.S. Stores, International Stores, and Direct-to-Consumer. As of February 1, 2014, the Company operated 843 stores in the United States and 163 stores outside of the United States.
The U.S. Stores segment includes the store operations in the United States and Puerto Rico. The International Stores segment includes the store operations in Canada, Europe, and Asia. Asia includes the Middle East and Australia. The Direct-to-Consumer segment includes the operations directly associated with online operations, both United States and international. The Company operates websites for each brand, both domestically and internationally.
