ATA Inc. (ATA), incorporated on September 2006, is a provider of computer-based testing services in China, based on test delivery capacity and geographic coverage. The Company offers services for the creation and delivery of computer-based tests utilizing its nation-wide test delivery platform, proprietary testing technologies and extensive experience providing testing services in China. Its computer-based testing services clients principally include professional associations, such as the Securities Association of China (SAC), China Banking Association and China Futures Association, and Chinese governmental agencies, including the PRC Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security. As of March 31, 2014, the Company is comprised 3,048 authorized test centers located throughout China.
The Company’s computer-based testing technologies include its E-testing platform for delivering computer-based tests, its mobile testing platform called the Mobile Testing Service (MTS) and its content creation and management technologies. The Company’s E-testing platform is composed of a set of self-developed tools and applications for facilitating the computer-based testing process, and is capable of handling large-scale tests and quickly and securely transmitting, processing and storing large amounts of data. The Company’s MTS platform enhances the mobility, security, efficiency and cost-effectiveness of test administration by utilizing cloud technology to transmit test data through portable mobile devices.
Testing Development and Delivery Services
The Company’s test delivery platform and technologies allows it to offer the clients a set of services for the creation, delivery and analysis of computer-based tests, as well as logistical services such as test registration, scheduling, fee collection and certification fulfillment. It has assisted its clients with creating and delivering a range of computer-based tests, including professional association or licensure tests required by governmental agencies for positions within various governmental agencies or industry associations. Utilizing the computer-based test content creation technologies, the Company assists the clients in developing computer-based tests, including performance-based tests. It includes test design, test item authoring, test form and item bank construction, final user acceptance beta test, and continuous upgrades through analysis and user feedback.
The computer-based testing delivery services include installing the ATA E-testing platform on the client’s computer system to assist with centralizing administrative matters relating to the test or, in the case of repeat clients, upgrading the existing platform as necessary, for new tests; providing technical support throughout the testing process; uploading test information and performing test rehearsals and final testing environment control, and processing test scores, summarizing and processing test scores, summarizing and analyzing test scores and results. It also offers a number of logistical support services relating to test administration. It includes managing test taker registration and scheduling, managing test taker fee collection, arranging test stations and pre-test training of staff at each ATA authorized test center, providing test data management, such as test score publishing, and preparing and delivering certificates for test takers who have passed the test sponsor certification requirements. TOEIC tests include large-scale tests open to the general public for a set fee, as well as on-demand tests given for specific enterprises or organizations.
Human Resource (HR) Select Employee Assessment Solution
The Company’s HR Select is a service that enables corporate human resources departments to test, benchmark and analyze job applicants based on general, industry-specific and job-specific profiles and individual skill-sets, making it an invaluable tool for campus recruitment, lateral hiring and internal promotions. HR Select leverages its computer-based testing technologies and expertise to allow employers to evaluate candidates on each of these parameters and to analyze and categorize the results to make effective recruitment decisions. Candidates are tested using its E-testing platform at its authorized test centers or online at a place of their choosing. HR Select incorporates its computer-based testing technologies to allow clients to deliver the evaluation tests online in a secure, accurate and easy-to-manage manner.
Test Preparation and Training Solutions
The Company offers test preparation and training programs and services to test candidates preparing to take professional certification tests, as well as candidates aiming to fulfill their post qualification continuing educational requirement. Test preparation and training customers gain access to Internet Websites that contain the latest training materials provided by the test sponsors and streaming video of teaching sessions and practice tests developed by ATA.
The Company’s career-oriented educational services include single course programs, degree major course programs and pre-occupational training programs focusing on preparing students to pass information technology (IT) and other vocational certification tests. Each single course program it offers is centered on a specific type of computer software application or other technology that requires training and practice to master and for which certification is offered. Its degree major course programs are designed to help graduates prepare for particular types of jobs and career paths. Its pre-occupational training programs provide students with a simulated internship environment replicating what these students would experience in an actual internship and that are designed to prepare students for actual job positions.
