The Company's athenaClinicals is designed to make the documentation and exchange of health information easier by focusing on the workflow around the patient visit. The athenaClinicals addresses the clinical workflows of a practice, including a clinical facesheet; encounter documentation; order entry; results viewing; patient call tracking; clinical reminder tracking, and workflow task management. Its quality management engine is designed to: identify the specific clinical activities required to meet pay-for-performance and outcome-based programs, including the Medicare and Medicaid Meaningful Use and Physician Quality Reporting System, programs, access medication formularies, and identify potential medication errors, such as drug-to-drug interactions or drug-allergy reactions.
The Company athenaCommunicator offers an approach to patient communication by combining a Web-based automated messaging platform and patient portal with the ability to speak to live operators for patients who receive specific call types. The automated messaging platform delivers phone calls, short message service (SMS) messages, and e-mails to patients, including appointment reminders, past due balance alerts, disease management initiatives, secure test results, and other compliance-driven campaigns. Its patient portal enables patients to express communication preferences, view lab results, review appointment information, exchange secure messages with providers, update personal information, and pay bills. Its athenaCoordinator moves patients and their information seamlessly across care settings, regardless of EHR or organizational boundaries, with direct scheduling available between providers.
The Company's athenaCoordinator Enterprise is its cloud-based care coordination, patient access, and order transmission service. Its athenaCoordinator Enterprise offers services for client's organization and secure mobile and desktop messaging for provider collaboration. athenaCoordinator Enterprise facilitates managing order entry and status checks for ordering providers. Its athenaCommunicator Enterprise is a cloud-based service that combines software and analytics to execute, track, and coordinate care across a provider's network. After clients transfer data from payers, finance systems, laboratories, clinical repositories, and/or EHRs, athenaCommunicator Enterprise processes and integrates that data and provides a platform through, which clients can gather insight into and manage the health of their patient population. These services, provided through the Epocrates brand, center around various clinical information and decision support offerings available through healthcare providers' mobile devices.
