Bank of India is an India-based bank. The Company operates in three segments: Treasury Operations, which includes the investment portfolio, which is dealing in government and other securities, money market operations and foreign exchange operations; Wholesale Banking, which includes all advances, which are not included under Retail Banking, and Retail Banking. Its geographical segments include domestic operations and international operations. It offers five types of credit card. It also has two affiliate banks: Bank of Maharashtra and Tamilnadu Mercantile Bank Ltd., which issue credit cards under the brand name IndiaCard. It also offers five types of debit cum automated teller machine (ATM) cards. During the fiscal year ended March 31, 2012, it opened 510 branches. In May 2012, it acquired 51% of Bharti AXA investment Managers Private Limited and Bharti AXA Trusteeship Services Private Limited. In June 2012, it established a wholly owned subsidiary, namely Bank of India (Uganda) Ltd.
