Profile: Catalpa Resources Limited (CAH.AX)

Catalpa Resources Limited (Catalpa), formerly Westonia Mines Limited, operates in the mining industry in Australia. The Company is focused in the development of the Edna May Gold Project near Westonia in Western Australia and exploration within the wider Westonia Greenstone Belt. The Project is three hours or 300 kilometers by road from Perth; half way between Perth and Kalgoorlie and situated to be serviced by either of the mining centers. In addition, Catalpa has identified a number of exploration targets and is implementing field programs to test those targets. Catalpa owns three Mining Leases covering the Westonia mining field and a cleared paddock to the North of the mine. These leases cover a total area of approximately 774 hectares that include the current Edna May project. In December 2009, the Company announced the completion of the merger of the Company with Lion Selection Limited. Pursuant to the merger, Lion Selection became a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company.
