Edison SpA is an Italy-based company active in the procurement, production, import and sale of electric power and hydrocarbons. The Company’s offer is addressed mainly to the wholesale customers, such as producers, consortiums, distributors and thermoelectric power plants, but recently has started to serve also the retail market. The Company provides its services and products through subsidiaries divided into four business units. The Electrics Assets Business Unit includes Edison Energie Speciali, and the 50% joint venture Edipower, both involved in the power production. The Hydrocarbons Assets Business Unit includes exploration and production, carried out by Edison International; storage, through Edison Stoccaggio, and distribution, through Edison D.G. The two remaining divisions include the Energy Management Gas Supply and Logistics Business Unit, managed by Edison Trading, and the Marketing and Sales Business Unit, managed by its subsidiary Edison Energia.
