EMCOR Group, Inc. (EMCOR), incorporated on March 31, 1987, is an electrical and mechanical construction, and facilities services firm in the United States. The Company provides a number of building services and industrial services. The Company's segments are United States electrical construction and facilities services; United States mechanical construction and facilities services; United States building services; United States industrial services, and United Kingdom building services. Its services are provided to a range of commercial, industrial, utility and institutional customers through approximately 70 operating subsidiaries and joint venture entities. It specializes in providing construction services relating to electrical and mechanical systems in all types of non-residential and certain residential facilities and in providing various services relating to the operation, maintenance and management of facilities, including refineries and petrochemical plants.

The United States building services and United Kingdom building services segments consist of those operations, which provide a portfolio of services needed to support the operation and maintenance of customer's facilities, including commercial and government site-based operations and maintenance; facility maintenance and services, including reception, security and catering services; outage services to utilities and industrial plants; military base operations support services; mobile maintenance and services; floor care and janitorial services; landscaping, lot sweeping and snow removal; facilities management; vendor management; call center services; installation and support for building systems; program development, management and maintenance for energy systems; technical consulting and diagnostic services; infrastructure and building projects for federal, state and local governmental agencies and bodies, and small modification and retrofit projects. The United States industrial services segment consists of those operations, which provide industrial maintenance and services, including those for refineries and petrochemical plants, including on-site repairs, maintenance and service of heat exchangers, towers, vessels and piping; design, manufacturing, repair and hydro blast cleaning of shell and tube heat exchangers and related equipment; refinery turnaround planning and engineering services; specialty welding services; overhaul and maintenance of critical process units in refineries and petrochemical plants, and specialty technical services for refineries and petrochemical plants.

The Company designs, integrates, installs, start-ups, operates and maintains various electrical and mechanical systems, including electric power transmission and distribution systems; premises electrical and lighting systems; low-voltage systems, such as fire alarm, security and process control systems; voice and data communications systems; roadway and transit lighting and fiber optic lines; heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration and clean-room process ventilation systems; fire protection systems; plumbing, process and piping systems; controls and filtration systems; water and wastewater treatment systems; central plant heating and cooling systems; crane and rigging services; millwright services, and steel fabrication, erection and welding services. The Company's building services operations are provided to a range of facilities, such as commercial, utility, institutional and governmental facilities. Its building services operations include commercial and government site-based operations and maintenance; facility maintenance and services, including reception, security and catering services; outage services to utilities and industrial plants; military base operations support services; mobile mechanical maintenance and services; floor care and janitorial services; landscaping, lot sweeping and snow removal; facilities management; vendor management; call center services; installation and support for building systems; program development, management and maintenance for energy systems; technical consulting and diagnostic services; infrastructure and building projects for federal, state and local governmental agencies and bodies, and small modification and retrofit projects.

The Company's industrial services are provided to refineries and petrochemical plants and include on-site repairs, maintenance and service of heat exchangers, towers, vessels and piping; design, manufacturing, repair and hydro blast cleaning of shell and tube heat exchangers and related equipment; refinery turnaround planning and engineering services; specialty welding services; overhaul and maintenance of critical process units in refineries and petrochemical plants, and specialty technical services for refineries and petrochemical plants. It provides construction services and building services to corporations, municipalities and federal and state governmental entities, owners/developers, and tenants of buildings. It also provides its construction services indirectly by acting as a subcontractor to general contractors, systems suppliers, property managers and other subcontractors. Its industrial services are provided directly to refineries and petrochemical plants.

The Company provides electrical and mechanical construction services for installation and renovation projects. Its projects focus on institutional purposes, such as educational and correctional facilities and research laboratories; manufacturing purposes, such as pharmaceutical plants, steel, pulp and paper mills, chemical, food, automotive and semiconductor manufacturing facilities and power generation; transportation purposes, such as highways, airports and transit systems; commercial purposes, such as office buildings, data centers, convention centers, sports stadiums and shopping malls; hospitality purposes, such as resorts, hotels and casinos; water and wastewater purposes, and healthcare purposes.

The Company installs and maintains lighting for streets, highways, bridges and tunnels, traffic signals, computerized traffic control systems, and signal and communication systems for mass transit systems in several metropolitan areas. In addition, in the United States, it manufactures and installs sheet metal air handling systems for both its own mechanical construction operations and for unrelated mechanical contractors. It also maintains welding and pipe fabrication shops in support of some of its mechanical operations. In the Washington D.C. metropolitan area, the Company provides building services at a number of buildings. It also provides building services to a number of military bases. Its United Kingdom subsidiary focuses on building services and provides a range of services to public and private sector customers, including airlines, airports, real estate property managers, manufacturers and governmental agencies.
