The Technology Solutions segment consists of services and systems platforms. Its services include consulting; front-end technologies, such as automated teller machines (ATMs), and point of service (POS) systems; outsourcing services, such as data-centers, ICT operation and management, application operation/management and business process outsourcing; network services, such as business networks and distribution of Internet/mobile content; system support services, such as maintenance and surveillance services for information systems and networks; security solutions, such as installation of information systems and networks, and cloud services, such as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS). Its System Platforms include a range of servers, such as mainframe, UNIX and x86 servers; storage systems; various types of software, such as operating system and middleware; network management systems; optical transmission systems, and mobile-phone base stations.
The Ubiquitous Solutions segment contains ubiquitous terminals, including personal computers (PCs) and mobile phones, as well as car audio and navigation systems, mobile communication equipment, and automotive electronic equipment, that collect various information and knowledge generated from the behavioral patterns of people and organizations. Its Mobilewear includes Car audio and navigation systems, mobile communication equipment, automotive electronics and others.
The Company's Device solutions segment offers large scale integration (LSI) devices used in mobile phones, digital home appliances, automobiles and servers. The Device solutions segment also offers electronic components, which consist of semiconductor packages and batteries.
