Huntington Bancshares Incorporated, incorporated on April 14, 1966, is a diversified regional bank holding company. Retail and Business Banking
The Company's Retail and Business Banking segment provides a range of financial products and services to consumer and small business customers, including checking accounts, savings accounts, money market accounts and small business loans. Other financial services offered to consumer and small business customers include investments, insurance, interest rate risk protection, foreign exchange and treasury management. The Company serves customers primarily through its network of branches in Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Indiana, West Virginia and Kentucky. The Company also offers its customers online banking, mobile banking, telephone banking and automated teller machines (ATMs) services.
The Company's Commercial Banking segment provides a range of products and services to the middle market, large corporate and government public sector customers. The Commercial Banking segment is divided into seven business units: middle market, large corporate, specialty banking, asset finance, capital markets, treasury management and insurance. Middle Market Banking focuses on providing banking solutions to companies with annual revenues of $20 million to $500 million. Corporate Banking works with companies with annual revenues over $500 million. Specialty Banking offers products and services to select industries that operate in the Midwest. Asset Finance is a combination of its Equipment Finance, Public Capital, Asset Based Lending and Lender Finance divisions that focus on providing financing solutions against these respective asset classes. Automobile Finance and Commercial Real Estate
The Company's Automobile Finance and Commercial Real Estate segment provides lending and other banking products and services to customers outside of its traditional retail and commercial banking segments. Its products and services include providing financing for the purchase of vehicles by customers at franchised automotive dealerships, financing the acquisition of new and used vehicle inventory of franchised automotive dealerships and financing for land, buildings and other commercial real estate owned or constructed by real estate developers, automobile dealerships or other customers with real estate project financing needs. Its Automotive Finance team services automobile dealerships, its owners and consumers buying automobiles through these franchised dealerships. Its Commercial Real Estate team serves real estate developers and real estate investment trusts (REITs) with borrowing needs that are secured by commercial properties.
Regional Banking and The Huntington Private Client Group
The Company's Regional Banking and The Huntington Private Client Group (RBHPCG) segment operates through approximately 10 regional banking markets. The Huntington Private Client Group is organized into units consisting of The Huntington Private Bank, The Huntington Trust and The Huntington Investment Company. Its private banking, trust and investment functions focus in the Midwest and Florida. The Huntington Private Bank provides customers with deposit, lending (including specialized lending options) and banking services. The Huntington Trust also delivers wealth management and legacy planning through investment and portfolio management, fiduciary administration, trust services and trust operations. It also provides retirement plan services and corporate trust to businesses and municipalities. The Huntington Investment Company, a broker-dealer and investment advisor, provides investment solutions for its customers. The Company's Home Lending segment originates and services consumer loans and mortgages for customers who are located in its banking markets. Consumer and mortgage lending products are distributed through the Retail and Business Banking segment, as well as through commissioned loan originators. Home Lending earns interest on loans held in the warehouse and portfolio, earns fee income from the origination and servicing of mortgage loans and recognizes gains or losses from the sale of mortgage loans. Home Lending supports the origination and servicing of mortgage loans across all segments.
