Profile: Hindustan Copper Ltd (HCPR.NS)

Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL) is engaged in the business of manufacture and sale of copper products. HCL’s products include Copper Wire Bar, Copper Wire Rod and Refined Copper Cathode. The Company markets copper cathodes, copper wire bar, continuous cast copper rod and by-products, such as anode slime (containing gold, silver, etc.), copper sulphate and sulphuric acid. During the year ended March 31, 2012, ore production was 34.79 lakh tons. During 2012, metal in concentrates (MIC) production was 31,377 tons. During 2012, cathode production was 28,358 tons. During 2012, wirerod production was 26,310 tons. The Company's mines and plants are spread across four operating units, one each in the states include Khetri Copper Complex (KCC) at Khetrinagar, Rajasthan ; Indian Copper Complex (ICC) at Ghatsila, Jharkhand ; Malanjkhand Copper Project (MCP) at Malanjkhand, Madhya Pradesh , and Taloja Copper Project (TCP) at Taloja, Maharashtra.
