IJM Corporation Berhad (IJM) is engaged in construction and investment holding activities. It operates in five segments: Construction, which is engaged in construction activities; property development, which is engaged in development of land into vacant lots, residential, commercial and/or industrial buildings; manufacturing and quarrying, which is engaged in production and sale of concrete products, and quarrying activities; plantation, which is engaged in cultivation of oil palm, and infrastructure, which is engaged in tollway and port operations. On July 10, 2008, Worldwide Ventures Sdn Bhd (WVSB), a subsidiary of the Company, acquired 50% of Island Golf View Sdn Bhd (IGV). On September 12, 2008, IJM Land Berhad (IJMLB), a 69.96% owned subsidiary of the Company, acquired an additional 30% interest in RB Land Sdn Bhd (RBLSB) from Reco Homebuilder (M) Sdn Bhd (Reco). On September 5, 2008, it disposed its interest in IJM Properties Sdn Bhd (IJMPRP) to IJM Land Berhad (IJMLB).
