Impala Platinum Holdings Limited is principally engaged in business of producing and supplying platinum and associated platinum group metals (PGMs) to industrial economies. The Company produces approximately 22% of the world’s supply of primary platinum. During the financial year ended June 30, 2014, the Company produced 2.370 million ounces of PGMs, including 1.178 million ounces of platinum. The Company owns 73% interest in Marula and 100% interest in its primary operational unit, Impala. Impala Refining Services, another unit of the Company provides smelting and refining services. Two Rivers is a joint venture between African Rainbow Minerals (55%) and the Company (45%). Zimbabwe Mimosa is jointly held by the Company and Aquarius Platinum Limited. Zimplats is 87%-owned by the Company. The Selous Metallurgical Complex in the northern region of the underground operations comprises a concentrator and a smelter.
