j2 Global, Inc., incorporated on May 29, 2014, is a global provider of Internet services. The Company operates in two business segments: Business Cloud Services and Digital Media. The Company offers cloud services and solutions, such as fax, voice and unified communications, online backup, e-mail and customer relationship management, intellectual property (IP) licensing, global networks and operations and customer support services. Its Business Cloud Services business operates multiple physical Points of Presence (POPs) across the world, a central data center in Los Angeles and various remote disaster recovery facilities. The Company connects its POPs to its central data centers via virtual private networks (VPNs) using the Internet. The Company offers direct inward dialing (DIDs) covering metropolitan areas in the Unites States, the United Kingdom and Canada, and other cities such as Berlin, Hong Kong, Madrid, Manila, Mexico City, Milan, Paris, Rome, Singapore, Sydney, Taipei, Tokyo and Zurich.

Business Cloud Services

Through its Business Cloud Services Division, the Company provides cloud services to businesses of all sizes, from individuals to enterprises, and licenses its IP to third parties. Its Business Cloud Services Division generates revenues primarily from customer subscription and usage fees and from IP licensing fees. The Business Cloud Services Division also includes the results of its IP licensing business. Its eFax and MyFax online fax services enable users to receive faxes into their e-mail inboxes and to send faxes via the Internet. In addition to eFax, the Company offers online fax services under a range of alternative brands, including MyFax, eFax Plus, eFax Pro, eFax Corporate and eFax Developer. eVoice and Onebox provide its customers a virtual phone system. eVoice is a virtual phone system that provides small and medium-sized businesses on-demand voice communications services, featuring a toll-free or local company DID, auto-attendant and menu tree. Onebox is a communications suite, which includes a virtual phone system, hosted e-mail, online fax, audio conferencing and Web conferencing.

KeepItSafe enables its customers to back up their data and dispose of tape or other physical systems. KeepItSafe provides online backup solutions for businesses. LiveDrive provides online backup with added file-sync features for professionals and individuals. Its FuseMail service provides its customers e-mail, archival and perimeter protection solutions, while Campaigner provides its customers e-mail marketing solutions. FuseMail offers hosted e-mail security, e-mail encryption and e-mail archival services to businesses. The services include hosted e-mail, VirusSMART virus scanning, CypherSMART encryption services, SpamSMART SPAM filtering and VaultSMART/PolicySMART archiving. CampaignerCRM provides customer relationship management solutions. Campaigner is an e-mail marketing service that enables businesses to create and send personalized one-to-one e-mail communications to subscribers and customers.

The Company also generates Business Cloud Services revenues from patent licensing and sales and advertising. The Company categorizes its Business Cloud Services and solutions into two basic groups: DID-based, which are services provided in whole or in part through a telephone number, and non-DID-based, which are its other cloud services for business. The Company markets its Business Cloud Services offerings to a spectrum of business customers, including sole proprietors, small to medium-sized businesses and, enterprises and government organizations.

Digital Media

The Company's Digital Media business segment consists of the Web properties and business operations of Ziff Davis. The Ziff Davis portfolio of Web properties, including PCMag.com, IGN.com, Speedtest.net, AskMen.com and TechBargains.com, features reviews of technology, gaming and men's lifestyle products and services, news and commentary related to these vertical markets, professional networking tools for information technology (IT) professionals, speed testing for Internet and network connections, and online deals and discounts for consumers. Its Digital Media Division specializes in the technology and gaming markets, reaching in-market buyers and influencers in both the consumer and business-to-business space. Its Digital Media Division generates revenues from advertising, performance marketing and licensing fees.

PCMag is an online resource for laboratory-based product reviews, technology news and buying guides. IGN.com is an online media and services company focused on gaming and entertainment. Speedtest.net allows consumers and businesses to test broadband connection speed and mobile network speed. AskMen.com is an online source of information and advice focused on men's lifestyles. AskMen.com features the fashion, grooming, health, sports, fine living and finance elements. TechBargains.com offers deals and discounts on the Web. Its site curates deals and coupons on electronics, hardware and software, among others.

The Company competes with CNET, PCWorld, TechTarget, AOL Tech, GameSpot, Yahoo, Facebook and Twitch.
